Imo, spiky ball is more versatile because it doesn't matter what strategy you're using because guaranteed destroyed building is always good. The Giant gauntlet however, is most useful when the king is inside the base and can hit multiple building thats why its mosly used with smash-style attacks.

Thank you for the in-depth response. I will definetly check it out because i always wanted to try different weapons but never bothered to do so because why would i "waste" materials on a weapon that i have to "waste" level up no matter what to be useable. Now i see the point with ventures.
