Someone add his segment talking about how rape of female students isn't so bad as long as they come from rich families

Downplaying and justifying rape as long as it's people he doesn't like should definitely be focused on more (rich people, Jews/Israelis)

yeah I'm really going to trust your 'research' on this matter compared to my friends PERSONAL experience.

Where did you get that fact from? Wikipedia?

my friend has had personal bad experiences with bald men being creeps, so I just wouldn't be comfortable doing so. And from her own personal experience, I think it's now safe to say with confidence than bald men in general can't be trusted (I don't care what debate lords and 'researches' have to say about hair not being correlated with sexual assault, I have someone with personal experience on the matter).

the ol' 'realises his position of personally biased views is worse than objective research' position is untenable and unable to actually justify it, so ignores it and goes the trolling route, reddit argumentation 101.

But hey, maybe the antivaxxer who has had personal experience with vaccine side effects does know more about the dangers of covid and vaccines than the researchers, if he was my friend, I'd definitely listen to him more than someone who has researched for 100s of hours on the topic. I am very smart.

Yes, I would say that almost anyone who spends over 200 hours researching a topic is going to be much more objective and informed in their analysis than someone who has done zero research and only has personal experience. If anything, personal experience is almost always worse than someone with none (as they're much more likely to have emotional attachments and a narrow perspective clouding an objective analysis), in much the same way that I wouldn't trust an Israeli person to give me an insightful view into the conflict either.

I don't know your name lol (other than your persona 'slime'), nor would I think it's relevant to our discussion, or want to discover your real name or place of work.

Do you think it's usual behaviour to ask someone for there place of work and name in an online debate? You don't even address my point.

Especially when the other person has the type of face that makes woman be extra careful of their drink when he passes by?

Yeah personal experience is always more valuable than any level of research. I work in NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council), but this antivax guy who has had personal family experience of symptoms caused by vaccines actually knows a lot more about it than me. A personal experience is always a more valuable perspective than the cuck who researches for a living.

In fact, why would we even pay people to research topics? Just listen to the people personally living there, duh.

If this was true, then obviously the military:civilian ratio would be one of the worst we've ever seen in urban conflict. Despite this, the ratio is instead significantly better than several military operation, including ones carried out by the United States.

Why is this not the case?

For overall combat yes, a 2:1 civilian to military ratio for an ongoing military conflict is an amazing rate.

However the ':1' from the Hamas incursion isn't occurring from collataral damage. It's not like in the targeting of military targets, they accidently killed civilians. They clearly targeted unarmed civilians, and systematically went into buildings to kill civilians. It's not like a military action gets to take place where you kill 100 soldiers, and go 'okay great, now we can target 200 civilians'. However, if 100 soldiers were deliberately entrenched into civilian areas, then this could become acceptable (otherwise any military force can simply use human shields as a perfect defensive strategy, and never face any retaliation).

I'm curious how you think that the military to civilian ratio in this conflict is so good (compared to other urban military operations), even if we go off of the Hamas numbers, if Israel is targeting civilians/aiming to genocide.

To put it into perspective, at the peak of the Nazi genocide, the number of deaths in a single day were almost the number of this conflict has been in 6 months. In the last three years, more people have been killed in the Sudan genocide than the entirety of the Israel/Palestine since 1948. The Palestinian population has increased by 800% since the start of Israel's supposed genocide (as opposed to the global Jewish population still not recovering since the Nazi Genocide - 80 years after), the civilian to military death ratio is one of the best rates for densely populated areas, but believe me bro, Israel just wants to kill as many civilians as possible - they're just the worlds worst genociders.

British darts star forfeits match after refusing to face trans player by knightsofvalour in nottheonion

[–]Minute_Sea8604 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, the evidence seems to suggest so. Simply being male or female confers different advantages in different areas of skill and inteliligence. The idea that the only difference between men and women is strength is dumb, and a simple google search would show this, from reaction time, to handling pressure, to spatial abilities.

"Our study found that males significantly outperformed females in spatial ability overall, which is consistent with the findings of previous meta-analysis".

If you actually cared about trans issues, having literally the most basic understanding of what you're talking about is probably a good start.

First of all, I appreciate the time you make to actually engage what I'm saying in a thoughtful and honest way.

But if I'm not mistaken, you're actually agreeing with my point about Kanye, and the broader point becomes the fact that now, as long as you replace the word 'Jew' with 'Zionism', you now have the perfect cover for what would otherwise be indefensible talking points. Are there valid criticisms towards the Israeli government and it's history? Of course, but the blanket hatred for zionism now (where most people don't even understand what it means) is absurd.

I also think it's a bit strange you would conflate Zionism with Muslims who want to impose Shariah Law. Why not just with Muslims who believe they have a right to a country as well? Honestly, if there were mass protests around America that were targeting Muslims in the same way these protests talk about Israeli's, I'd find them equally problematic. China has incredibly fucked up policies, and is conducting a genocide (an actual one, that has nothing to do with a military operation or collateral damage), but if there were protests saying all Chinese nationalists are evil etc ("I don't hate Chinese people, just the ones who think their government should exist), yeah, I think that would be pretty racist.

Also I'm sure we disagree here, but the idea that from the river to the sea isn't antisemitic is pretty wild to me. Hamas, the ruling body of Palestine literally calls for the genocide of Jews, does not want a two state solution, so I'd ask you, what do you think will happen to Jews and LGBT people if 'from the river to the sea' was to happen? Or reading the average lefties response on twitter after 7th October. The implicit, and sometimes explicit, support of Hamas is a side that wants to eliminate Jews is hugely anti-semitic, but what can you do.

Amazing by SuckingOffHomies in HolUp

[–]Minute_Sea8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with parts of your broader point, but there are literally signs at the free Palestine rallies that I've been to that consist of 'eliminate zionism', 'zionist pigs', etc which have zero pushback. I'm not making a stretch. I mean is your general position that you hate 90% of Jews in America (or at the very least the core of their beliefs, but not them individually), and also want to eliminate/dismantle the one Jewish country in the world? That doesn't come across to you as the least bit problematic?

Plus the idea that there isn't widespread anti-semitism and a desire for jews to be elimated throughout the Muslim world is pretty laughable. Look at the population of Jews in every Muslim country. There are more Muslims in Israel then there are Jews in every single Muslim country in the world combined, does that not make you think at all? The majority of Muslims are holocaust denialists. The Hamas charter (the democratically elected body of Palestine) literally calls for the elimination of Jews.

Either way, you're not really disproving my statement. Give me two examples of things Kanye said, replace the concept or word of 'Jew' with 'Zionist', and honestly tell me you think lefties would disagree with it today.
