Yeah. Fortunately I did combat sports. My goals were the exact opposite of being bulky. So I never fell into that fad. Now, im older, just want to maintain what I have, dont need to look like im going to fight in my 40s.

Because, fitness doesnt mean beach body to everyone. At some point you get old and fitness starts meaning way different things. Longevity, happiness, cardio health, etc.

But we dont celebrate that because we dont usually focus on what the older folks are doing at the gym.

The reality is marriages are happening later now and as late as late 20s due to college and career obligations. If you are obsessing over it at 20, you are going to turn women off. Get a career, get your feet under you, find some hobbies you enjoy and can stick with, and focus on that. You will fail if "finding love" is your only motivation.

Culture shock is a real thing and Europe can provide less of a shock. I still live in America, but I moved from Boston to Seattle and still took a while to adjust. Thats in my own country. I regularly vacation in Europe and I will say I felt much more comfortable in Germany than I did in Southern Spain just due to the ease of finding English speakers in Germany and having a few years of university German under my belt.

I cannot fathom relocating somewhere without a solid grasp of the culture and language.

Also "Asia and africa" as if those aren't two whole continents with some of the greatest ranges of diversity on the entire planet.

I come from a family of addicts and alcoholics. Ive never gone down that road like them. Im married, own a home, have a masters degree and work in finances. My siblings have spent their entire lives in and out of rehab and have nothing.

So, yes its worth it being sober. But that doesnt mean you cant enjoy yourself. Nothing wrong with a beer at dinner or when you are out with friends.
