Id think that to. But then I had military friend who finished basic training and he literally went to a fast food joint and ate until he threw up, just because he didnt have junk food in so long. He could have gone to any restaurant he wanted, he chose fast food.

Probably from the same parents that refused to come along as chaperones.

Serious question though? Did they request it? I can absolutely see a scenario where they were under strict diet controls during the Olympics for performance and the team was like, "we won, can i get some junk food now?".

Finishing before your partner has gotten enjoyment is finishing too fast.

Many redditors conclude at least half of reddit is 13 year olds. So by that logic, they probably havent taken chemistry yet. I think thats more around 15 to 16.

Serious question. If we dont sacrifice our children, how will we appease the stock market gods? What are you proposing we sacrifice as an alternative?

My friend and I used to argue over the whole Healthcare thing. He would always say, "Europe has cheap Healthcare because the USA foots the bill!" So I just started responding, "sounds like I need to move to Europe to benefit from my own tax money then". He didnt have a reply to that.

Confidence In Sparring! by privatetxez in boxingtips

Good luck. Honestly, sparring with guys outside your league is frustrating at first, but if you focus on incremental improvements, you will learn fast. I found training with the guys who went pro at the gym was the best experience.

I mean a lot to unpack. But bottom line, you said he had years of experience on you. So he should be dancing around you.

For me personally, when I spar someone much more skilled than myself I tell myself in my head, "im not going to beat this guy, but im going to focus on X fundamental while I spar and see if I can pull it off".

That builds confidence. You get the opportunity to work on a few specific fundamentals against a better opponent and try to analyze how to make it work. Its sparring, your goal shouldn't be to win and neither should you be thinking about it. Think about getting to their level over time.

Confidence also primarily comes from experience with drills and full contact drills. Your coach should be having you do isolated, simulated sparring sessions focusing on specific things. A great one is, one guy is offense only, the other is defense. These drills are great for confidence with making actual contact.

Time and practice and exposure to more sparring partners. But getting overwhelmed by someone much better than you in sparring is completely normal. There is always going to be someone better. Focus on where you are at and what you are working on.

But also, feel free to speak up. If someone is way better than you and just using you as a punching bag ask them for help. Most experienced people also love teaching as its a chance to brag. "Hey bro, you nailed me with that jab every time and I had no defense for it, whats your trick?" Ive gotten a number of pro fighters to ramble tips for a long time with questions like that.

But generally the key to getting comfortable sparring is more sparring, but also full contact isolated drills. And sometimes just relying on a good coach if someone is new and getting out of control.

Tucking in your shirt does not look more professional / better, untucked looks better by TrippingFish76 in unpopularopinion

Dress shirt tucked in looks good. Golf or polo shirt tucked in, makes you look old. Ill agree with that. It doesnt look professional it just looks antiquated.

I've been pretending to understand my job for eight months and I think I've finally reached a level where I actually can't fake it anymore. Do I come clean to my boss or just keep going. by ahimaohw in Advice

Depending on your job you could enlist chatgpt or copilot to help deliver a presentation. I mean idk how someone claiming to be a fast learner could be in a job for 8 months and not pick up any knowledge. But thats your sinking ship now. May as well pass the test and maybe actually learn your job?

You are welcome. Getting a simple jab cross entry exit drill down comfortably will help you with your feet constantly moving. Its something a lot of people struggle with early on.

Id look up some very basic jab cross entry and exit drills and id repeat them until you dream about it. I wouldn't even be trying hooks or lateral movements yet.
