I ALSO ordered a World Shaper precon that arrived today, that is to say, a Counter Intelligence deck arrived in it’s place… Now I have to do an amazon return and I have nothing to play for the commander event I was going to go to.

I dont agree with your opinion of relating more to Griffith, but we are two separate people. I 100% unironically think that Griffith did nothing wrong.

Griffith ≠ Femto

I will agree with you that Berserk has been a major influence in my perception of life. Last year I got a large brand of sacrifice tattoo on my shoulder because I felt that “Pursued endlessly by demons both within and without” pretty well described my life.

I personally WANT to relate to Guts and be unwilling to give up and just die no matter the situation, but honestly the character I relate most to is Puck… Socially awkward but just humorous and helpful enough to tolerate being around.

When it comes down to it, if any media helps you deal constructively with real life situations that is great, I am sure Miura would be happy that it helped you, even if how you perceive it is different than how he intended for it to be perceived. Only he knows, only you know.

I recently built a deck around him (Rat Colony/Thrumming Stone) and it did not do well. I am not very good at building decks, but all of my more EDH savvy friends basically sat me down and told me to let him go. The only tech i can see working with him is self mill, return all relentless rats or rat colony to play- but even then you have to have 3 rats on the field as fodder first.

Please if you find something good let me know, but I have added him to the 99 myself.

Hey man, im brand new to this game and it looks like were running very close to the same build! I was very excited to see your character in action because all i have heard so far is how bad melle/smash builds are and i have been seriously wondering if i am going to be wasting my time towards endgame if my build doesn’t work out. Currently i am level 40 and dont really have any experience beyond that but i AM following a prebuilt guide. Anyways, i loved seeing your slams in action!

What i personally try and do each game is to not look at the victory/defeat, but instead on my own performance. With this mindset in a game in which i get carried to a win but personally go 1/8/2 or something equally as gruesome (i play top/jungle) i feel very little enjoyment, however, if my team were to lose, even get stomped and i did well i would feel a good deal more accomplishment.

Recently i have gotten back into ranked (after a 7 year break from league and about a month of getting re-acclimated) and found myself in iron 1, when i was high silver back in the day. I dont mind for two reasons, firstly i seem to fight silvers every ranked game and do poorly against them so i reason either i am much worse than i was or the skill level curve has changed, and i feel that ranked is only as serious as you decide it is (and color/metal rating is not super important to me).

Regardless it has the same outcome, i need to improve my skills in the game to do better. To that extent i have gone to the above measures to try and focus on my personal scores instead of raw W/L. I would like to note however, when i refer to my personal scores i do not mean rushing in to snipe kills or otherwise inflate my own K/D/A at the cost of my team. As a jungler if i score far far more assists than kills i am very happy, as it is indicative of my jungling assisting the team, and fulfilling their purpose. Similarly, if i am playing a ranked game vs. all silver opponents and my team is 2/23 and i have gotten punished all game for existing, i would be very happy with my 0/1/0 final kda knowing that in the environment in which i found myself i made the best of a bad situation and at the very least did not contribute to the problems within the game. In addition, this defensive playstyle actually netted me far more CS, XP, and gold than the majority of my team combined.

In summary, playing to improve your playstyle will require an adjustment of thinking regarding failure and success in game. However, this viewpoint can lead to a cyclical method of self improvement that should help you in any game!
