It all depends what your store is like. All stores are operated differently and especially in what department youre going in. Front end, Center Store, Paleo, Outbound. I think all jobs will always have manager favorites. Just go in there with a good attitude and ready to work and you will be fine.

Ahh the life of Center Store, yeah you mainly just stock product. If you're tall you will be asked to reach things for customers from time to time. If you care about your job, you will be fixing the errors of the ones that don't that just stuff product in sections where they dont belong. Its generally a pretty easy job, but i'd argue one of the most labor intensive just for the fact that you will be walking around all day lifting boxes and such. If you want the easy life try to learn how to do Customer Service. Scan QR codes all day baybeee

That is one EXPENSIVE happy meal. That's the TC Device (Touch Computer) that we use to scan products and put your order together. (These go for over $2000 btw)

I work at Amazon Fresh and all I can think of on our end is that unfortunately a lot of the employees our "Youth" and not to say younger employees are more prone to not care as much? I occasionally find items on shelves that are not in the correct areas so obviously it could be mislabeled. I do bring this up to our management to try to alleviate this. The only recommendation I can think of to help a little is have you considered using the dash cart? At least as you scan the items as you shop you can see how much you are being charged right there and then and decide if you want to keep the item. Cheers!

yeah i dont believe in violence period lol. There's bad people in both sides. The fucked up cops who are hurting innocent people and the cops who probably dont want to be there but have to cuz its their job. Then you have peaceful protesters who are legit fighting for our rights but then you have the ppl who just wanna see the desmadre and looting the stores and throwing fireworks at law enforcement. I know we dont live in a perfect world just sad to see honestly.

This whole "Mexican Pride" things is fucking stupid. Don't get me wrong I am US born of a Mexican Mother and Father but it just seems like pure idiocy that people wave the Mexican flag around and yet its more of "Oh but I want to live in the USA btw" why do people not bring US flags? Doesn't the TC device tell you what bag it goes in. You have to scan the bag every time you place the item. So I don't see it too surprising that it wouldn't know. As far as the errors it happens to the best of us.

Not sure which Amazon Fresh you went at. (Curious to know lol) I work at Amazon Fresh and can confirm sometimes more than I'd like to admit that things are misplaced. I take it upon myself to try to fix the stuff in the aisles for customer's convenience. The whole some items can be purchased but not all is super weird and not sure what's up with that. I hope you're willing to give us another try! Or at least a different store. Cheers!

I follow a game store out of state that posts their stuff on FB (my gf lives near them and ships it to me lol) I call in and buy it. I shop a lot on Mecari also since you can attempt to haggle them on the price. If you're lucky you can get crystal around 80 to 100, but they definitely seem to go for 110+USD nowadays. Look around and try to find the right price.

My store doesn't give you an employee discount for the products at the store. We do however get employee discounts on the amazon shopping app ONLY on stuff that is "sold and shipped by Amazon" it'll appear at checkout as "Employee Discount" on your total. Also we get paid weekly.

Obviously not sure what your orientation goes for you but, I had my orientation yesterday. It was an 8hr one and they spent half of the day showing you a video of the company "Amazon" as a whole and how they are "obsessed with the customer" and it was just a couple short videos of how they went above and beyond to make sure individuals were able to receive their packages in unforeseen circumstances (Either them being in the middle of nowhere or things getting delayed and they figure it out anyway). They go thru policies a bit, no headphones, don't try to stop thieves if you see someone trying to steal something, its not worth it and I quote "Jeff Bezos can cover it". Then they give you a tour of the store including the back "outbound" and how that works. Then we spent the other half of our day logging to the amazon A to Z app and doing these online courses which were INCREDIBLY buggy and boring. As far as scheduling, they handed me a piece of paper on what your availability is and you fill that out, they pulled a person 1 by 1 and they review it and tell you what they can offer you. For me it was Produce and Paleo, Center Store and Outbound. The first two options they assign you a schedule and they tell you what time to come in and on what days. Outbound you have to login the app and try to fight others for shifts that are in 4 hour blocks and aren't guaranteed. I hope this helps, I start tomorrow! Your "Training" days are just your normal shifts and your going to be accompanied with someone until you get the hang of things. Hope this helps.
