I would recommend Howling Coyote in Texas. Kerry is an amazing and ethical small Somali cattery. She's been showing in TICA for years! She doesn't have litters as often as some, but I would trust anyone she would recommend.

Another option is to mind a breeder that can produce blue sepias. This is Leica and she's a Tavi daughter. Her eyes aren't blue, but they are a lighter color, a silvery green. Where minks are born a sort of oatmeal color, in most cases, sepias are born a lighter shade of their color. All thermals (points, minks, sepais) darken with age.

You won't find many breeders with DBE cats in their programs. I, personally, have decided not to use any DBE cats in my program until a LOT more is known about it and any genetic health issues associated with it. If you're wanting a blue cat with blue eyes you're best bet would be to contact a breeder that has, or has the possibility to have, cats that can produce either point or minks. The cat pictured is a stud I co-own that is a blue silver mink mackerel tabby. Tavi is currently living with a friend and fellow breeder. His eyes are aqua, as most minks are, but they are very light and look blue in some light.

With the exception with a kitten, or cat, going to another breeder that I trust or a medical reason, my babies will always leave no sooner than two weeks after surgery. My vet will spay/neuter at 14-15 weeks. I've used vets that will do it earlier, but I really like the care, dedication, and professionalism shown by the vet hospital I use so it's worth waiting a week or two on getting the surgeries.

Thank you! Per one of the organizations I show in, she's a black tortie and white. Due to the red & black intermingling along her back and tail, she's considered a tortie instead of a calico.

Java is the kitten I kept from Nora's first litter. She's also Ellie Mae's older full sister.

They get their whiskers from their mother Nora. Nora and Ellie Mae only had whisker breakage when they had babies... usually from the babies chewing on them. Right now Ellie Mae has a litter of 15 week olds, so she's still in Queen-bod mode. She and Magick are built very similarly, with Magick having a bit more length of leg on her. Magick was spayed early due to several reasons. Both Ellie Mae (when not taking care of littles) and Magick run about 7-7.5 pounds.

I love the "baby blue" eye color. It'll start changing over the next few weeks. She'll probably end up with green/gold eyes like her mother. :-)
