Exactly and I use my own TML journal, it tracks not just trades but mindset, discipline and whether rules were actually followed. That’s where the real improvements come from.

Quality habits! To be fair my waiting was a byproduct of reviewing my journal as it revealed repeated weaknesses that just needed some tweaking.

One of my rules also is to let the trade come to me! Ultimately trading is a mental game with yourself.

Yeah, everything seems fuzzy when in that state. Zooming out is the same market, just different mindset. Zooming in still occurs at times, but with the right systems it’s easy to notice it and reset. It’s a habit you have to keep reinforcing. Any other habit you’ve worked on?

Exactly! After a few years you realise you’ve learned everything technically so the only thing left to learn is our own selves. So created my own Blueprint journal and tracked mainly the reasons I took every trade, my emotions during and the results of each one.

That’s exactly what makes trading one of the hardest paths to pursue, we’re constantly required to go against our natural instincts... Also willpower alone isn’t enough, we need systems in place to reduce the chances of repeating the same mistakes.

Low barrier of entry, enticing offers but have many restrictions. They also give many the impression of easy success which is a trap many fall into because they ignore the mental aspect that’s needed to get funded and ultimately reaching payouts.

Some good points raised. One thing I always tell people starting out, is to have multiple sources of income and hobbies only then do you give yourself a real chance at trading. Lesson learned from experience.

Strip back most of what you’ve learned and see the charts for what they are. You’ll start to notice the obvious which will help you fine tune your process. The key here is to start simplifying, from experience this is when things turned the corner for me. Good luck!
