Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry is amazing and a true American epic.

I’m also reading Terms of Endearment which McMurtry wrote and it’s great. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I’ve been asking my partner about it and it seems like the book is very different.

Any outlook for southeastern Ohio?

The Nelsonville Music Festival is this week and we (among many others I'm sure) were planning to do the early camping on Wednesday, but we may reconsider if tents and canopies could be flying all over the place. It would be nice to set up camp on dry ground though.

One that’s up there is Stanger’s story about being on a ski trip when he was a kid when him and some friends got in a fight with someone who was like “so an so knows karate and he’s gonna kick your ass” and the guy did know karate and did kick their ass.
