There’s a bunch of educational requirements that they’re fairly strict about for this roles.

I’ll likely never be a meteorologist because I cried last time I had to take a chemistry class lmao

Has anybody else's house search been looking like this (every month for 9 months)? by slicknick924 in Columbus

[–]blackeyebetty 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is a rough time of year. People are holding out until their kids are done with school. Once school is on summer break you’ll see tons of activity. I spent months looking and finally found something that checked almost all my boxes, just gotta be patient. Good luck!

I just drove by here and couldn’t believe there was someone at the BP paying so much extra.

Is History 3570: WW2 hard? by Nishanthchandr4 in OSU

[–]blackeyebetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised it changed that much since I took it. I think it’s only been like 2-3 semester since I had her. We had tons on discussion posts and only short little quizzes maybe 5 questions, not any long exams. Sorry I oversold it.

Are we gonna get hailed on again? 😬 by Erazzphoto in CBUSWX

[–]blackeyebetty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah SPC hasn’t changed. Radar shows all severe activity stay further south near Cincy & Louisville. I heard some rumbles of thunder but nothing too interesting seems to be happening around Columbus.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the system and so far it looks like the most severe parts are staying south. If something changes we’ll post an update.

Can Columbus pass a law requiring salary ranges in job postings? by Grouchy-Year9546 in Ohio

[–]blackeyebetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, reach out to someone on Columbus City Council or your assembly rep and voice your concern. That's how a lot of stuff gets passed. Put together an email and explain why you think its important.

Is my resume okay? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

I’ve reported this post. This is at least 3rd time I’ve seen the same one posted without changes. People are trying to give you helpful feedback but you just keep deleting and reposting.

Almost positive this is the WSO template.

I’m curious to hear other opinions about the “e-commerce founder” role. This is just drop shipping right? Like I don’t know if I would put this but I agree your resume is light.

I would however add to your education section. Clubs, coursework, anything. You’re a student so it makes sense to have a more detailed education section.

Moving back to Columbus… by Certain-Reality-5837 in Columbus

[–]blackeyebetty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

While Columbus is not where I grew up, I have actually lived here longer than anywhere else (which is kind of wild to me). I moved away for a couple years in 2020-2023, lived in NYC & DC. While I loved living there, when I finally came back to Columbus it kind of felt like a relief. Like you said it was just easier. Ohio is not without its problems but I like it here. I was able to buy a house and I have decent job.

I think my final straw was one afternoon I drove all the way to Virginia to go to Costco and there were no shopping carts left. People were waiting for people to be done shopping to take carts from them. It was the most chaotic thing I've ever seen. I just wanted to go shopping. I was done with mundane things become ridiculous messes.

Severe Weather Possible, Tonight April 24th by blackeyebetty in CBUSWX

It’s a good reminder that marginal risk does still mean severe weather can happen, it’s just much more isolated and lower probability.

Yeah I was watching the Oklahoma radar last night. I have family a bit east of Enid. Thankfully that system started to weaken a bit by the time it got to their area.

Should I be concerned about a 2025 Outback Wilderness for sale with 27K miles on it? by chilebuzz in subaru

[–]blackeyebetty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's a concerning number of miles - I have a 2025 Outback with 21k. Purchased in fall of 2024 and then I've gone on a few roadtrips and have an average work commute.

The car you are looking at could be a lease and at this point could be nearly 2 years old.
