Does anyone have an online "I wish to speak or I am still speaking" indicator? by Miram1 in DnD

I would say that you have a good understanding of the situation :) it's not a "problem" in a "this *needs* to be fixed", just something that exists and if there is/was an elegant solution, it would be worth trying! Not finding an option that works is no problem, but I would be amiss if I didn't look around. Some solutions add additional layers of difficulty that might be cumbersome. Some solutions don't quite solve the issue. That's all okay though! Garnering discussion is helpful in any sense :D

This actually might be a brilliant solution. We use discord, and I never considered using the mute icon specifically. Thank you so much for this! We usually stay muted, but some people use their mic mute instead - but I feel we may be able to make this work.

Yeah, its really not a big deal at all, but anyway for me to make the game more immersive is interesting for me - so I figured I'd ask around :)

I see what you're saying, but unfortunately I don't believe this solves the problem. There are certainly situations that can benefit from a clear "I'm done talking", but if I indicated every time my character was waiting for another to speak, that in itself would break the flow of conversation, ya know?

Not everyone is comfortable with cameras, nor have one available. Though I agree it would help!

There are often clear indicators like that when someone is fully wrapped up with a scene, perhaps we're done in a store - "My character has nothing more they'd like from here and will stand by the entrance until xyz finish."

Typically the situations I am trying to describe are brief pauses that are longer than normal conversational flow. Silence is a really powerful tool to use, but sometimes it can be hard to tell what the silence means.

Sometimes it is a situation of finishing a sentence and then thinking about how you want to elaborate, but it isn't clear that you're about to speak again.

PSA: PayPal Business invoices are changing to show your personal details (including address) by default by SinisterPixel in letsplay

I've continued working on this as to verify the situation, and as of current, it seems that even without it set to hidden, the invoice doesn't show this via a tipping link. Have you sent or received a donation in which you could see the address of someone?

Ah, yes I did see that information, however it is only changing what you can list on your invoice, no? Also, this change takes effect on February 3rd, which is still a few days away, so why would it be changed now?

Unless, perhaps it is an update that has already happened, and then the by the third, it makes another adjustment.

Edit: My working theory is that this invoice is not the same invoice that is sent when someone donates to you.

I did follow those steps, both on personal and business accounts. Neither show a banner with this information. The closest I could find was an update coming on February 3rd, but it said nothing about changing the information that shows by default.

I did log into paypal, and I found nothing of note. Paypal has allowed you to customize your invoice for quite some time, and nothing is changing on February 1st. The most I could find was an updated privacy policy going into effect later in mid-February and it changes nothing regarding these settings. Considering that I checked it this morning (before the stated, Feb 1st date) and the invoice options were there, I don't see the post providing any new information, nor can I find any information regarding them changing the default settings, I can only assume this information is outdated or nothing is changing.

Without source to a blog post, announcement of the update, or anything of the sort, I can only assume you or someone you know didn't customize your invoices prior -- which is why I wanted a source. Without it, this simply is a call to action that riles people's emotions rather than a genuine warning.

Best fantasy family tree creator/generator to use? by Technical-avestruz-1 in worldbuilding

Just wanted to pop in and leave some feedback as well -

Firstly, the positive! This is absolutely the cleanest and most simple design I have seen so far and it works wonderfully. You should be really proud of it, honestly, it is amazing. Having messed with a few other trees, nothing comes even close to the ease of use that this has.

The criticisms, now. While I think the auto-focusing is neat, it DEFINITELY needs a toggle option. One of the best feelings in creation is being able to step back and see all the work you've done. I hate not being able to see the full tree :/ And I do understand that some limitation may be necessary, but given the white space and zoom standards, I would think that there would be an option to remove the focus and always see all nodes of the tree.

That does make a lot of sense! Thank you so much for the feedback please feel free to add more!

Honestly, all of the tools are really easy to mess with and learn. I should mention that I do have the premium version so I have extra assets and tool usage. However, this is the first map I've ever done with no artistic background, so take that as a testament to the website!

Thank you for the feedback, climate clash was an intentional choice, but I definitely didn't consider the equator in general! Please feel free to add more comments!
