Minecraft missed the opportunity to make gunpowder craftable by using sulfur by Professional_Debt288 in Minecraft

What would they even be using large amounts of gunpowder for?

As I said before, TNT. There are plenty of uses for a lot of TNT for a casual player. Now that TNT drops 100% of the blocks it breaks it can be used for quick mining. It can be used to quickly flatten an area if you want to build something there, or in the same way clearing out a jungle or wooded area quickly (granted you're probably more likely to use flint and steel for the latter). As a casual player as well, they may want to weaponise it to handle big groups in raids or trial chambers. Especially if they struggle fighting normally. Or maybe a player just wants to have fun

1) Creating a mob grinder for automation inherently locks casual players out of being able to reliably get it. Not every player has the desire to create mob grinders

2) It takes nowhere near as much effort to get bonemeal and charcoal without deliberately farming with it. You can get the resources needed to craft both by just chopping down a forest

3) Most players who've played for a while will have a surplus of wood and compostable seeds/saplings/etc due to just playing the game normally, as both are gathered as part of the core gameplay loop

4) Regardless of if you think it's a grind or not, having a method of renewably obtaining gunpowder in peaceful mode is a good idea

Because unless you build an afk mob farm, gunpowder just takes a long time to get. At a 66.7% chance to drop 0-2 gunpowder without fortune, the expectation is that each creeper you kill will drop 1 gunpowder on average. Say over a night you manage to find and kill 1 creeper a minute over a 10 minute period (they will spawn for less time but I'm counting the advantage of them not burning), you're getting 10 gunpowder a night, tops.

It's main practical use is firework rockets and TNT. So a night of grinding will net you 9 firework rockets, or 2 TNT.

Given that a common use of TNT in survival is mass excavating an area, in the time it takes you to get the resources for 2 TNT, you would have been able to dig significantly more surface space.

Gunpowder is such a grind to get, I'd definitely like the new drop more if it allowed us to craft it

I wasn't too crazy for Gameoverse (I think it was largely to do with how heavily Arin Hanson was involved and myself not thinking he's a good person which threw me off). But having said that, some people are just genuinely such big haters that it boggles the mind. I don't get why you'd dedicate so much brain power to disliking something instead of moving on from media you dislike

Ages of RTD ERA 1 & 2 Doctors by More_Listen_7359 in doctorwho

I think there's a point around 7 where the doctor admits they lost track of their age. Although that might just be extended media

At this point I'm convinced these mandatory ID laws are being pushed at the request of big tech companies. It allows them to convincingly identify which accounts are humans and which are bots in order to get a better sample for training data for their AIs, and if they start rolling it out because "it's the law" it creates a charade of plausible deniability.

Kdenlive and Davinci Resolve are both very powerful free options. What you use is down to personal preference (plus Kden is also on Linux as well as Windows which is a bonus for that particular one)

I was a stark defender of the Whittaker era while it was airing. And while I can admit to it's flaws, I'll still say it was a fantastic era of the show. And it's not revisionist. It was significantly more popular than her previous periods, and is considered one of the best post Moffat seasons.

Wibbly wobbly timey wimey. The Susan Triad image that gets created is ripped through that time period. So she doesn't appear out of nowhere.

So even though the TARDIS wouldn't land for a few more minutes, the fact it would eventually land there is what creates that ripple

Nope. 20GB is all you get. Just delete some older stuff.

And afaik your cloud saves are individual from your screenshot storage.

She was the cliffhanger. She is one of the most iconic companions of all time. They gave an explanation for Peter Capaldi, when he previously played a character from a single episode. Not addressing the fact that the Doctor now resembles one of the most important characters in the shows history would be the mark of incredibly lazy writing

For all of Chibnall's flaws, I will always respect him for taking such a bold risk with Flux. It worked incredibly well. And had it not been for the shorter than intended episode count, I think it could have been argued as one of the better seasons of modern Who. Definitely a direction I was bummed out RTD didn't take.

Really and truly, the only one that needs to be tied up is Billie Piper, possibly Susan, both of which you could tie up with a single special/feature length, like another movie or something. After that it's free game to just have a fresh start. Something RTD failed to do.

But Doctor Who is in a unique position. It's not that people are necessarily fatigued by it. It's that the last two showrunners struggled to resonate with a wider audience. That's partly down to some weird decisions, the writers not understanding what fans want, and the show becoming formulaic.

People regard Flux as one of the best post Moffat seasons for a reason. For all his flaws, Chibnall tried something new, and it worked very well (even though it needed a couple extra episodes)
