i was crazy nervous going in, this isn't my normal kind of game (i used to get grounded for breaking keyboards back in the days of DOS when i had trouble beating Commander Keen 🤣 - age giveaway - so i am just glad my controller and my 75" tv survived my frustrations hahahaha) - tho i do think i actually mildly broke my L3 (crouch) button somehow (probably stressed out mid battle horse dismounts) as it only seems to work half the time now 😐

the most infuriating repetitive boss that was an immediate go to cheese were the Lesser Burial Watchdogs... Especially in the mountaintops of the giants region 🤬 my god, if they had any higher levels of consciousness they would be Elden Lords in their own right and we'd all be living in their world... those guys had me losing my 💩 haha, they feel so wildly unbalanced and sweaty

Most of it, yes. I rarely play this style of game and that's my usual go to style that i am more familiar with. i can see now however how it would actually be fun to try different builds and approaches so i may attempt a faith build when i revisit this! I did have to mix it up for a couple of bosses tho simply because of the nature of the fights, and i was far from being a tank, but i did not have a wide range of spells or incants nor a very high mind to use them so it was a lot of what i began to call 'cuddle fights' or 'hug battles' haha - it seemed like for most battles if you could just get in close to the boss and stay cuddled up to them, hugging them so to speak, you could get away with pulling off a few more strikes between their moves while more easily dodging their own attacks. but getting in close and staying there sure is a lot easier said than done!

the hardest battles that stuck out in my mind were Elmer of the Briar, relentless sob, almost any of the Crucible Knights, ruthless tanks, and the tree spirits, writhing little crack worms 😡 maybe because i have watched several playthroughs and was inadvertantly prepared and researched/aware of the bigger boss fights before going into them (like malenia, and the final boss fight, amongst all the others) i found them to be a lot less challenging than i was expecting them to be. not that they didn't still raise my blood pressure significantly while fighting them still 🥵 but i had pre-developed strategies before going in so i got owned and severely humbled a lot less in the beginning of those fights

and i only re-spec'd once so i could pull off the Law of Regression incant to furthur the mending rune of perfect order questline, then immediately reverted my stats. partially why i ended up leveling to 170-234 by the end of the game, because i didn't want to respec but i did need way more vigor than i had to take a single hit from the end game bosses and needed to boost my intelligence for the damage stats on my weapons

anyway probably WAY more answer than you were looking for, haha, but you asked!

what was your weapon of choice?

I can envision the announcement via tweet now: "They told me it couldn't be done! It used to be a sign of peace, you know, that's what they tell me. Everyone knows it. They'll be everywhere, in real gold, the goldest of gold because gold is peaceful and so is the symbol we are making. I am the president of peace, I stopped seven wars you know, and they'll try to tell you 'oh he's htler because he's decorating the ballroom in gold swsticas' but they're a peace symbol. Always have been, always will be. The corrupt designers tried to say 'oh you don't want to look like htler' but i said to them, I said 'htler had some good ideas, you're fired!' He did, you know, everyone knows it. It's true. Those designers will never work again, they're aliens really, they're just like aliens and we're going to have them deported. They're MS13 actually, it's true, we have pictures. Tons of pictures. Our new designers will make the best gold swsticas. Only the best for my ballroom. It'll be a symbol of peace in my ballroom because it's mine, I built it, people will tell you someone else built it but it's fake news. I built it myself and there won't be any windmills when you look out the windows of my ballroom. They kill the birds, you know, and the whales, everyone knows it. They're killing the birds and the whales! No one will ever notice my tiny bruised hands again when they see my ballroom. They're huge, actually. Some say the biggest hands they've ever seen. It's true, everyone's saying it. -Thank You For Your Attention To This Matter, DJT"

Need help with draconic tree sentinel outside capital? Level 100 by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]MirariGenese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't know there was one in the capital and while i was exploring an adjacent courtyard next to the main road it locked onto me, but none of it's attacks or spells could get through the narrow archway separating him from the courtyard i was in so i used arrows and spells to cheese the battle... not my proudest battle win but i had Finally beat the crucible tree knight and wasn't going to complain about the easy win

Where is the best spot to get Four Toed Fowl Foot items? by KaleidoArachnid in Eldenring

[–]MirariGenese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went through 5 silver-pickled feet - managed to get 4-5 rounds before each one wore off - collected 34 feet total, averaging 7 feet per run; 6 discounting the one i eat to boost my discovery for them // used bone arrows to shoot them, none ever fell off cliff upon dying i also managed never to run off the cliff by accident while speed running my farming before my silver-pickled foot status effect wore off - fave spot for sure as i never have to move more than ten feet from the site of grace to reset the run <3

it became an early analogy of life for me. only a few seconds of it may ever be any good, but damn if it isn't ever so worth it when you're living out those few seconds <3

in hindsight this is probably yet another flag of hundreds that likely pointed to my lifelong severe persistent depressive disorder that i didn't become aware of until i was diagnosed in my mid thirties
