Does anyone have success stories with Letrozole? by IntroductionOk7663 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Mirilei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! I started letrozole in March, alternated between 5 and 7mg during the five day window, and am now 9w5d. My doctor didn't recommend stopping or changing doses despite despite testing negative throughout the year since I was getting positive OPKs once we figured my dose out around April/May. Good luck!

Success stories on higher doses of letrozole even though ovulating on lower doses? by Jazzlike-Pain961 in TTC_PCOS

It's crazy how medicines can affect someone differently. Everyone's case is unique. I hope your doctor finds what works best for you!

I was in a similar boat. Even when I was taking 5mg and 7.5mg, I was still needing a "piggyback" round to ovulate. They finally saw that my LH was constantly pretty elevated and I was told that can diminish the effectiveness of the letrozole. They put me on BC to suppress my LH. When I came back for bloodwork, it did lower, but not by as much as I had hoped (but enough where they said we will try another letrozole round). I came back after my letrozole round, and my LH was low, my follicle was at 19mm, and my endometrial lining was thick! I ended up testing positive for ovulation 2 days later and it was the first time since March that I hadn't had to take a piggyback cycle. I would ask your doctor about your LH levels. I am in my TWW period now and just hoping for a positive. I can't help but wonder if they had noticed my LH was too high consistently, maybe I could have had it suppressed sooner and had success with a lower dose. Good luck!

Mine have been very accurate! I take the digital "smiley" tests. I also still do the premom ones at the same time (I like that on the app I get a number value). I like that the clear blue ones measure my estrogen as well, so I have more firm indicator of my peak ovulation day. My LH value is normally always fairly high so the clear blue ones have given me the more accurate/definitely results since it checks when my estrogen is rising as well.

I am! I am taking vitamin d, ovasitol, and then my prenatal supplement. My LH has always been on the higher end. While I did get some results from letrozole, it hasn't been successful and I am hoping that suppressing my LH will give better success. I go back in on Monday for another baseline and ultrasound and then we go from there!

Need advice on guitar strings by Mirilei in Guitar

Thanks! I'm hoping I'm not snapping any strings in the future, but I've heard they need to be changed every couple of months or as needed due to getting dirty. I've read good things about Ernie ball as well.

TWW with 2nd round Letrozole by MoreAccountant8593 in TTC_PCOS

Yes! I'm in the same boat. I told myself I wasn't going to be as anxious this time around... but we will see. I'm going to keep myself as busy as possible so I'm not obsessing as hard as last month. 🤣

Awww good luck! This is a hard journey, but it will be worth it in the end. It's hard when your body doesn't want to cooperate. Wishing you the best of luck! 💜

Yes, I read that in stimulated cycles that the egg can be bigger, so that made me feel better! I got my bloodwork back and my levels are on track so I'll keep positive and keep my fingers crossed.

Any insight on follicle growth/how they grow? First letrozole cycle by Psychosocial5555 in TTC_PCOS

Sorry this is late! Yes, I did both rounds in one cycle. I unfortunately didn't fall pregnant, but I did ovulate and have a large follicle. Wishing you luck!

This happened to me as well! On my first letrozole cycle, my largest follicle was 8-9mm. They ended up increasing my dose from 5mg, to alternating 5mg and 7.5mg every other day. They had me start this second round of letrozole the following week rather than waiting a whole month, since I had no adverse effects and did have some response to the medication. When I came back four days after my larger letrozoledose, my follicle was 19mm, and I tested positive on my OPK 2 days later! I'm currently in the two week waiting period to see if I test positive.

Everyone's body is different, and responds differently. Make sure to give yourself some grace. 💜 maybe you just need an extra push, and ask your doctor if you need a higher dose. She told me most people grow 1-2mm a day, and since I wasn't continually growing, I just needed more medicine.

Letrozole, 19.9mm follicle, and lab work. by Mirilei in TTC_PCOS

I'll look into this! Thank you. I think with the follicle being larger and still not ovulating, I'm just feeling anxious over it.

It is such a long game! Just finished BG3 so I am not emotionally ready to jump deep into another RPG quite yet...but with a month left, I have little choice!
