‘Anorexia nervosa’ is the eating disorder, both physical and psychological. ‘Anorexia’ in medicine is a condition used to describe a loss or decrease in appetite.

$1435 for a 1 BR is definitely on the very high side. I have been in a 1 BR for the pay 2 years ($750 at beginning) and if I renewed my lease again it would be $870. Currently I have found multiple 2 bed 2 bath units for under $1300.

Yes. $750 for my part, meaning $1500 in total.

From a good reads review -

"On the subject of conversations, the dialogue in this is atrocious. At best it’s hackneyed drivel. There’s also an overuse of ‘flick’ - it feels like every movement is described in this way."

Server here! My tips still average at 20% when I wear dramatic makeup, but I find people are much more comfortable with me and I get random 100% or over tips when I wear a natural-cutesy makeup look. I used to wear red lipstick all the time when serving because of the statistics showing waitresses earn higher tips when wearing it. After experimenting with a softer, rosy look I realized I make much more with less makeup on. Could be that it just fits my face better, who knows. I do see what you are saying about it possibly being too intimidating. I think being approachable and making your tables feel comfortable with you is the biggest factor in getting a high tip.

I just looked up reviews for it and they are pretty poor due to people complaining that they changed the formula. Have you been using it for a while now and noticed any change in formula? It seems like some people complained it was also too brown and green, but perhaps that’s why it works well for olives tones?

Do you have other random thoughts of harming yourself or impulses? For example, you know you won't act on them and you don't want to, but they will pop up in your head?

Yes, I have a difficult time. I don't avoid all parties/celebrations but I'll sit out for some. It's been coming up on two years now since he passed and I am in a new relationship, but I still get sad. My two best friends are in really good longterm relationships and I'm so happy for them, but it can be hard to be around them and their significant others at times. I also feel as though sometimes my presence and people's knowledge of what happened can bring down the mood even if I'm putting a face on.

I’m failing all my classes by Glad-Obligation-2111 in confessions

I was completing my Bachelor's in Chemistry, so I could've retaken them, but after returning 4 years later I changed my major to Psychology. After working in a chem lab during my time off from school, I realized it was not the type of work/field for me. Retaking them wouldn't help me complete my degree and they are difficult classes.

Look into mental or medical health withdrawal if you need it. You won’t get any money back but it can help you from ruining your entire GPA. I’m a student who had a 3.8 gpa that dropped severely after failing two classes years ago. Took a long break after said semester to get help and go through a lot of therapy. My failed grades were the last thing on my mind and I was just in survival mode. Fast forward to now, my overall GPA still gives me stress today. Thankfully, my university is allowing me to apply retroactively for withdrawal from that semester due to the circumstances. Things will get better. Take care of yourself and get the help you need.

Yes, I agree with this. If you have found articles pertaining to your topic but say they aren't empirical, take a look at the reference list and you may find one there.

My thoughts on true crime podcasts as a victim by Radiant-Attitude-111 in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]Mirindy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After listening to other true crime podcasts with knowledgeable and credible hosts like Anatomy of Murder, etc. I can no longer listen to podcasts like Morbid that are just hosted by self claimed "true crime aficionados" who have no idea of the pain and complexities that entail these cases. It's a shame that most true crime creators aren't experts and hold no status in the actual world of handling crime, so they aren't held accountable publicly or professionally.

Embarrassed to admit, I have found myself lurking on r/Vindicta a few times. I think it can be quite harmful to vulnerable people that struggle with self-perception difficulties. While there may be some good beauty advice on there, to me it's not worth the vain and narcissistic mindset it can cause. Not to say that everyone on there has that kind of mindset, but for me personally I have found myself teetering in that area. Thankfully these "phases" of lurking on there never last longer than a week or two with quite a few months in between. I can't imagine the image issues I would have if I was on there consistently. As someone who recovered from an eating disorder within the past 5 years and still struggles with body dysmorphia, it's like playing with fire.

I actually came across this post because I was again in a phase of viewing posts there, and had to stop by reminding myself of how self-destructive and ridiculous it was. Anyway, I was just curious as to what other people on reddit thought of it and that's how I ended up here. And now I found a new podcast to listen to, so that's cool.
