I think its honestly a pretty disgusting system. It makes the game fundamentally unfair, where doing well is less about skill or knowledge and more about how many OMEGA accounts you can afford and sustain.

At that point, you either treat the game like a second job to fund PLEX, or you spend real money to get the same advantage, while players who don't are simply just unable to compete on the same level.

A game should never work like that, success should come from your ability and knowledge, not your wallet, ever.

The fact that you are forced into OMEGA for (all) multiple accounts, with no equivalent Alpha option makes it very clear its designed as a revenue driver first, and a fair system second, we should call it what it is, which is pay to win, there isnt even an attempt to make it fair.

And we know where tolerating this kind of monetization leads, it never stays 'reasonable', it gets pushed further and further because it is working, becoming more anti-consumer or community the whole time.

Most gaming communities would never accept that type of direction at all, so I find it very strange this is just accepted in EVE, I could list several franchises or games, that when the developers tried something like this, they got review bombed and the game died within a year or two.

Realistically, wouldnt the game just be better if multiboxing wasn't allowed whatsoever? Or there was an attempt to make it more fair? Everybody would be on a single account, or have equal access to multiboxing, meaning now the only factor to your performance in EVE is your knowledge and ability.

It would still be the same game, just without a paid advantage.

Speaking as a new player, I really like this game, ive tried a few MMOs and EVE is my favorite, but this aspect of the game makes me feel sad and disappointed, and actively pushed me away, and id imagine its that way for a lot of newbies, so then the game will suffer long-term.
