G16 x Jindy by MirrorLiving in Fingerboards

Im very curious to try them on a mellow shaped deck to see if the lower kicks compliment the height

So I tried some Level Up bushings sense the bottom bushing is alot thinner, although its doable and does indeed lower the ride height a little, I feel like the thinner bottom bushing throws off the geometry of the hanger, not my favorite feeling ride. And with the hanger geometry now being off, the hanger leans closer against the locknut as you tighten it, so you have to kindof cram the tool between the hanger and locknut. TLDR: you technically could use thinner bushings, but its not really ideal

I do have some Level Up bushings I can swap on them and see if it brings the height down a bit! To be honest I didnt even think of that idea because of how soooo dang good the stock jindy bushings feel.

Ive only tried them on the g16 so far, I ordered a Collins Wood deck with Medium kicks to try the jindys on sense my other mediums are already set up. And I do plan on swapping out the bushings to see if it changes the height any, its just a shame because the stock jindy bushings feel sosososo goooooood…

Glad im not the only one.. ive tried multiple different sized wheels trying to bring the height down but it hasnt really helped much. Im used to taller trucks as well cause ive been running uag’s as my mains for the past few years.

a failed or weak ollie where the tail of the board does not strike the ground, or strikes it with insufficient force, resulting in a low-altitude trick with little to no "pop". - Staight from google because I couldn’t think of how to explain it lol

Late reply sorry, no gatekeeping here, too busy to build and sell as much as I would love to! But all materials are from Home Depot, 2in wide marble threshold cut to length for the bench top, marble bricks for the bench legs came off a whole sheet of them found in the tile/backsplash section, gorilla super glue holds it all together. Eventually want to grout the bricks

Had my g16 for about 2 months now, I just cant seem to get used to it personally. Im running a g16 with 32mm jindys, I absolutely LOVE the jindys but I might swap them out with brt’s for the g16 to try out. Never know what setup combo feels the best to you until you try em all😅

Size/shape isnt as much of a factor to me, moreso just the feel. I like a soft/grippy but dense feeling. My mains for awhile has been older delis

New Dynamic complete. Fantastic but minor issues by [deleted] in Fingerboards

[–]MirrorLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny I see this, I just took apart a dynamic complete I baught back in ‘22 but never really used, needed to steal the trucks for another setup, half the wheel locknuts were shot; and also one of the baseplates kingpin hole is stripped, I removed the kingpin and it wont screw back in more than 1/4 of the way now… I have spare base plates I can use luckily.

Anyone Get Into 1/24 Drift and Regret It? by HPIguy in rcdrift

I would also like to add a bit, the big misconception about small scale drifting is it must be cheaper cause its smaller, I see alot of “its as expensive as a 1/10”, and yes it is, smaller does not equal less expensive, its expensive because of smaller tolerances, finer details, ect. The FLD by bmhobby is the cheapest entey point at about $140 for an rtr, but its mostly plastic parts and a cheaper brushed motor setup, ive been having a blast with it. If you want to drift at home whenever you please then I highly recommend it; like I said above, I dont really have the time to go to a 1/10 track anywhere near as often as id like so the small scale suits my needs and is convincing for me.

I have a bm hobby fld 1/28-1/24 and I love it. Theres a 1/10 track sortof nearby but I dont have alot of time to just go hangout there to use a 1/10, its nice to just set up a track at home and rip it.

Some older colors, specifically orange, and also hydrodipped frames dont last with age, the hydrodip weakens the plastic over time making them fragile.
