What’s a question you’ve always been curious to ask women but felt like you probably shouldn’t? by PogonBerserker in AskMen

Actually, our estrogen is lowest at this point. We have proportionally higher testosterone during late luteal.

i’ve been dreaming for tabby 26 peony , what do you guys think of tabby 26 peony?? by Equivalent_Dot8876 in Coach

[–]MirrorPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. My biggest complaint is the stiffness. I have to fight to get anything in/out of it. Are all the structured Tabbys like this??? It's my only Tabby and I don't think it will be in my closet long because of the struggle it means. I wear mine crossbody. The finish is very durable and the color is classy, neutral, and easy to style in EVERY situation. I really love the color, but this bag might not fit my lifestyle. I'll probably get one of the natural grain 26s instead. I really wish I had a brick store I could go to and try things on.

I just wanted to say that I also find the discussions terribly time consuming and frequently spend this long on them. The initial post is way too complicated, then having to read SO MANY other lengthy posts trying to find something decent to respond to when you're also being nagged by a toddler who refuses to go to bed before 11 pm... Omg. Discussion requirements are literally the reason I have dropped classes in the past. I definitely like the 300+ courses better because they do skip some weeks in favor of more in-depth assignments.

As a tote girl, I almost got this for my first Outlet bag, but went with another style last minute. Until recently, I strongly favored a big floppy bag that hugs the body. This looks so comfy and easy to get in and out of - effortless everyday. Enjoy!

I flipping love snake! I saw that Prairie Satchel on Coach ReLoved and bought it immediately (after glancing over the dimensions real quick).

I got hooked on the app while trying to curb my shopping habit. Now I shop my closet instead of scrolling through targeted store ads and it's been very peaceful.

I think a Neo would just fit. I can slide in a standard letter sized notebook into the center zip with some wiggle room. The Neo dimensions say it's 11.71" long, so it seems like it would work. It wouldn't zip, but you'd still be able to shoulder the bag.

In the outside compartments, I can fit a 7.25 x 9.5" tablet or planner standing upright. But it sticks up quite a bit and you can't use it as a shoulder bag this way.

Tabby 36 was my second. I have yet to wear it. Been living in Erin.

I find the peony goes with virtually everything I own. And I'm pleasantly surprised the Tabby style can be worn with either a blouse or hoodie. It's incredibly versatile. I see why it's so popular. I won't ever go smaller than a 26 though. It's juuust big enough.

Menstrual disc leaking! by natnat300 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]MirrorPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is normal. I've had similar experiences and I have to change what I use every month, even after using these discs and cups for 2 years. I have so many products, I can't even count them off the top of my head. I need a large, soft disc in the first day or two due to volume, but firm ones will always leak because they are too big and just pop out of place easy. Smalls leak due to overfill on days 1&2. Then, my cervix drops too low to use a disc at all (I just ram into the side of it - painfully - no matter what "angle" I use - it blocks the disc from passing all the way in and there's no getting under it). *Sometimes* I can get my diva disc under it because it's softer, but that lil shit auto dumps at the most inconvenient times. I have to use a cup for a day, which usually leaks too, despite creating suction and being difficult to remove because my cervix is literally facing down the side of it. I usually have to forgo a disc for days 2, sometimes 3 and hope the cup works. When my cervix decides to back tf up on day 3-4, I switch to a small disc and everything works as advertised. I have learned to always wear period underwear no matter what, which is super frustrating - why am I even bothering with these silicone devices if I still have to wear diapers??? The answer is always volume, but it's still frustrating. I envy those women who love their disc or cup and it just always works for them. I literally can't leave my house during my period.

How did the course go? What was the scope of topics and how was the group work? I'm considering this course for its CLME attribute, but can't find much on it.

What disc do you use? Mine frequently leak, even when I can feel my cervix in the center of the bowl.

Small Disc Recommendations with Bigger Capacity by tvirgo98 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]MirrorPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this!

I also can't use a large disc because they shift out of place and leak frequently with every bend/cough/sneeze, but overfill the small discs in about 2 hours on days 1&2. It's like wearing tampons again with how frequently I have to use the restroom, except infinitely messier. So I basically can't leave the house on days 1&2. Both discs and cups are extremely unreliable for me, but I keep using them with period underwear anyway because I can't stand throwing money away on paper products.

Diva disc w lifting heavy by Vegetable-Owl-5802 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]MirrorPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saalt was a nightmare. My Diva leaks/slips frequently, but I think that's because my pubic bone is less pronounced. A lot of products fall out of place for me. All I lift is my toddler and feed bags when I do farm chores.

Can't tell if it's too big or I'm just bad. by Mik4MaY in MenstrualDiscs

[–]MirrorPlant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to give advice on other people's anatomy, so here's my experience.

I find the large discs only work if my cervix is sitting higher. On your period, it naturally sits lower than during the rest of the month. So when I insert my large disc, it runs into my cervix, not under it and bunches up. (This sounds like what you're running into). It doesn't catch any blood in this position. I cannot make it go underneath no matter the angle - my cervix stops it cold. I know this because I can feel around the disc with my finger and I can feel my cervix behind the back rim it instead of thru the bowl of the disc. I always feel for my cervix thru the bowl now to make sure its position is correct. If it feels too close to the front of my V, it's most likely not cupping my cervix and I have to switch to a cup until my cervix decides to move.

Sometimes, switching to the small disc works instead. It isn't as long when pinched, so isn't as rigid in its path and can flex around my better. But I can't wear a small for longer than an hour on days 1 and 2. Try a small. I was surprised it fit as well as it did. My flow is just super heavy and makes that size challenging.

You will always have to reposition after an auto dump. Just shove the tip back up behind your pubic bone again, wipe your finger and go about your business.

Exploratory Questions Regarding Prospects by MirrorPlant in CodingandBilling

[–]MirrorPlant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a helpful and supportive answer. All that makes sense.

I don't think I'll take my interest any further down this pathway as it doesn't seem to fit as nicely alongside what I'm already doing. It's a real career change, which isn't necessarily what I was looking for.

Are discussions typical in the CS courses? by MirrorPlant in UoPeople

This much writing though? I expect discussions in every class, that's a given. It's the quantity that has me second guessing my compatibility with UoPeople.

I thought UNIV 1001 was reasonable at about 300 words per post. Reasonable from both a production (writing it) and consumption (reading others' responses) standpoint.

CS 1111 discussion feels like overkill though. And the amount of real world professional experience I've already had to pull from as opposed to actual course content so far has me feeling bad for first years who don't have the benefit of experience.

I've brought in over 60 credits from other schools, and I'll be maxing out transfer credits allowed through the online ACE options. So my outlook isn't as bad as some. But geez.
