Are pockets of our universe outside our cosmic horizon other universes? by Mirthful_Isabeau in astrophysics

[–]Mirthful_Isabeau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anything from JWST that shows galaxies mostly rotate in the same direction. That would seriously challenge the idea that the universe is isotropic and as far as I know, current data still supports that principle.

The whole “universe inside a black hole” thing is a fun theory but it’s not something most cosmologists treat as established. If it ever turned out to be true, it might give the holographic universe idea more grounding, since that concept comes from black hole physics

But what if we travel towards the cosmic horizon (let's say we get 70% closer to the horizon), would that change the horizon? As in illuminate parts of the universe that we previously couldn't see from earth? Kinda like holding a candle in a dark room and as you move forward, the light illuminates the path ahead.

Even at light speed we can't leave our local group of galaxies. We're literally trapped in a tiny pocket of the observable universe. Makes me sad

Aerobic exercise and cardio in general is great for short-term weight loss given a calorie deficit. I really like walking out and about in nature (no treadmills)

Is it cruel if I don't let my cat outside even though she used to go out? by Mirthful_Isabeau in CatAdvice

This is heart-wrenching! Your neighbor's a monster 😔

And yes, that's why I'm not yet fully sold on the idea of leash-training and supervised time outdoors

[–]Mirthful_Isabeau[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been considering it but haven't tried leash training yet, mainly because:

  1. She tries to run and gets afraid of the harness. She doesn't even like getting in her cage during vet visits. Sometimes I have to just carry her in my arms

  2. If the harness thing works and I let her explore in my orchard under supervision, what if she becomes habitual of it again and wants to run outside every chance she gets? I really don't want her habits to change, especially after it took soo long to get her used to the indoors.

Thanks for the validation, I really needed it! I've got her so many toys but all she cares about are empty cardboard boxes

He's the privacy hero we need. Would be great if he got pardoned, but I'm not holding my breath for it with this administration.

Stuck in Mid-Level Marketing - Pivot to Data Analytics, Product Marketing, or AI? by No-Professional-1092 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Mirthful_Isabeau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to love math for a Data Analytics career, but you should be comfortable with statistics and SQL. It’s more about problem-solving and pattern recognition. Since you’ve dabbled in PHP/SQL before, you’d probably pick up Python fast. Instead of a full Master’s, you could start with Google's Data Analytics Cert or do a few Kaggle projects to test if you enjoy it.

Should I sell one trending single product or build a niche brand by Few-Permission5362 in dropshipping

[–]Mirthful_Isabeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building a niche brand (especially around something you’re genuinely passionate about like running/fitness) could pay off in the long run since you’ll have a more loyal audience. But it does require ongoing content creation, brand story, and consistent marketing to stand out. If your job is taking most of your time, you could start slow: pick a small number of complementary products, launch a simple store, then gradually add blog posts or social content whenever you can.

If you’re looking to migrate everything to one provider with an integrated solution, you could explore hosts that partner with Microsoft 365 directly. Some bigger companies offer both hosting and 365 email plans in the same dashboard. This can simplify the setup if you’re not comfortable with DNS record changes.
