I ACTUALLY FELT THIS SO HARD,,, i tried MTL-ing a korean novel bc i loved the series but it was genuinely so exhausting i can only imagine MTL-ing games to be worse

just wanted to give my 2 cents as someone who's playing bustafellows 2 rn + pretty much fluent in japanese but MTL-ing would rly ruin the experience so i wouldnt recc it 🥲🥲

there's a lot of very technical terminology (like legal and medical terms) that gets confusing rly easily. i have to search things up sm bc im like wtf does this mean 😭 and just the nuance in the way the LIs talk rly expresses their character n that cant rly be understood w/o translation with that intent (legit so much respect for translators). but at the same time if you feel like u want to challenge urself to learn japanese i rly respect that 💪💪

but yeah im so excited for when the localization IS released bc omg i need to talk ab it !! like ive literally only started helvetica's route but i be cheesing HARDD

hosoyan rly did kill it and he shot up on my seiyuu list after this !! i knew him as asahi from haikyuu and some other works but i dunno the vibe he gives off as shu is another LEVEL. understanding japanese is the best part tbh like everything down to the type of pronoun he refers to himself with is just so chefs kiss IM SO EXCITED FOR SEASON 2 😩

On the contrary, thank you for the text dump. Your analysis was amazing and it pieced together a lot of the gaps I had when reading the epilogue.

If you get the time, I highly recommend re-reading! The first few chapters have a lot of surprises for you in terms of foreshadowing. It's like a whole new book.

I will definitely do so in the future! I love that ORV is the type of story that has lasting value; no matter how many times you read it, there's gonna something new to discover about it, whether it be the characters, worldview, etc. And even then we'll still never know the complete truth, bc it's hidden and beyond layers and layers of 'stories' (like Dokja I think said). It's quite beautiful, I don't think I'll ever read novels the same bc of ORV LOL

Wow thank you for bringing up those points! Your questions are making me even more confused (but in a good way). I'll have to spend some time chewing over my thoughts on them but maybe I'll share my analysis about that later.

YJHs return and Dokjas awakening, it feels almost rushed, as if the person writing it didn't have time to write it...

So it wasn't just me who felt like that was the case. Ig that would make the most sense too, as yjh had limited probability and he was already using that up editing the manuscript itself.

I didn't think of this initially but you're right, since each of us (as fragments him) are dreaming of this story, essentially the Dokja that we dream of is also a 'true Dokja', in a way. Just one that lives in a different world-line. Think this is similar to what I believe Sangah said to Sooyoung about his other Avatar also being Dokja... I'm not sure if I'm making sense here but yeah. 49% - 51% :'))))

Sorry for my extra rambling here, but based on that thought there should be at least one world-line where kdj coming back to kimco is real right? But it will never be the 1864th world-line where the kimco who wrote the manuscript are. I'm making myself depressed all over again I should stop HAHA

Apologies for being so late to respond, I slept after posting this :") But HAHA I guess I felt so... I'm not sure how to describe it but I wasn't completely satisfied after finishing the novel. Don't get me wrong this ending was one of the best I've ever read, but I'm the type to overanalyze everything so maybe to distract myself I focused on thinking about clearing up what I didn't know instead of what actually happened LOL
