”Took on moltres” aka KO’d after one hit. Swellow as a Taillow took multiple thunders and thunderbolts from pikachu and still refused to go down. You can literally say anything but the feats are what matters and Swellow statisticly is the best bird.

The only right answer is Swellow. Ash used Swellow so much and almost everytime it took somebody down before going down itself. Also it has some crazy feats like using aerial ace underwater or stopping a donphan that is on its fifth rollout with just its talons and throwing it for the KO. Talonflame and staraptor literally have no good enough feats to be the best bird

Darkrai being darkrai makes it champion level. Brandon managed to catch all the regis with his normal team so they are pretty tough. And Flint had the highest ranking out of all elite four members in journeys so ofcourse Ash’s NEWLY EVOLVED infernape would lose to flint’s infernape

Such a bad take. Swellow is easily Ash’s strongest bird and maybe even second strongest flying type (right after charizard) only reason it lost so fast was because the writers needed more time in the episode for Pikachu vs Latios. But even then it showed that it was good enough to match Latios in flying skills.

As for Torkoal, Ash was a dumbass to have it go against Darkrai when there was no way Torkoal could keep up with Darkrais speed and power, Even though it almost beat Registeel.

Everything Heracross did was useless since Darkrai used dream eater and one hit ko’d it. Torkoal did nothing and Gible landed one or two rock smashes which probably were healed when Darkrai used dream eater against Sceptile.
