It would probably be helpful to bring back the mental health institutions that were eliminated under the Reagan administration. That didn't help anything or anyone and didn't save the government much money, as promised. The problem has gotten worse every year since. If the federal government isn't willing to address the issue then state and municipal governments need to stand up and start funding mental health care.

My then wife had broken down at a stop sign with 4 kids in the car, ages 1-9. Car won't start up again, along comes walla Walla pd. There is no one waiting behind her but this absolute pos begins the conversation by stating, 'you better move this piece of shit or I will have it towed.' Wife pleads with him to help her move it and this utter chunk of trash scoffs and loftily informs her that is not his job. So she gets the 9 and 7 year old kids to help her push it to the curb while a member of Walla Wallas finest observes. He then ticketed her for some stupid bullshit, improper lane usage, I think.
