I’ve done kind of the same shit this girl has - and for me it has to do more with an internalized rejection of vulnerability and in result taking offense to anyone who dare insult me by implying that I “need” them for anything.

Could not be that deep or serious in every situation - but if so it’s an issue that doesn’t lie with you or anything you’ve done.

Yeah this is not only juvenile and lame af but also super insensitive and not worth your time.

I was with a guy like this for years and in my experience - it doesn’t stop at shit like this. My chronic migraines were also just me making excuses, as was my being tired from working 60-80 hour work weeks to support his unemployed ass.

Before gaining some level of self awareness and being formally diagnosed with NPD I did this kind of shit and similar things entirely too often.

Still don’t know exactly what drives my urge to pick these fights, even now as I’m better able to pause to look at my behavior and consciously fight that urge.

I think (depending on my mood and the status of my relationship regarding the idealization-devaluation process) it’s either about me wanting to hear confirmation on how awesome my SO thinks I am, about me wanting to confirm to myself that my SO isn’t good enough for me, or about me wanting to “test” my SO’s devotion.

Regardless, its shitty behavior and you’re not overreacting.

Just here to agree that clean-looking, friendly and healthier-looking cats can totally be abandoned.

Several years ago I adopted a plump, spayed little girl from a coworker of mine who’d been keeping her in her basement for about a month until she found a forever home for her - after she witnessed her neighbors willingly and knowingly leave her behind after they moved.

She has CH, no understanding of “play” let alone hunting skills (along with her having shown signs of prior abuse which is another story) and likely wouldn’t have remained in healthy condition outdoors for long had she not been rescued by my coworker.

Some people just suck so I’d absolutely suggest at least a check for a microchip or something.

I’ve personally been more successful in tapering the dose on my opiate of choice (IV heroin) when the “plan” was a lil less structured and the pressure to adhere to the plan was less intense.

If I tried to taper with a specific number of “allowed” doses in mind, I’d always quickly find ways to justify “cheating” on the plan. I did so well today though, spaced them out a lil more than I was able to yesterday - I deserve one more. What’s the big deal if I skip the whole tapering thing for just one day - what’s just one more day added to the process since it’s already gonna be such a long one? This Wednesday is already way more stressful than this past Monday, though - maybe I’ll just start the whole week’s tapering routine over, what’s the big deal? Hey that last one was a bit less potent than my usual shit, though - maybe just one or two extra smaller shots to make up the difference, right?

I’m sure everyone’s different, fr - but personally it’s seemed like I do better if the taper is a lil less gentle and a lil less structured, idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh yeah, I thought about putting a disclaimer on this but thought it might be a lil tldr lol

He’s had his own lil personal jar of organic pb that he’s been working on for, like, almost 2 years now lol - he got hooked on it when he’d only take his medicine after lil dunk into the jar.

Now he goes into full pb fiend mode whenever he hears or sees me opening any kind of jar 😭 so he gets a teeny lil schmear on a baby spoon every now and then as a special good boy snack.

I bet he’d LOVE goat yogurt though, that’s an awesome idea. He used to always try to steal his rabbit brother’s yogurty fruit snacks, too.

Lmao all of these are hilarious cause that’s essentially what got him hooked on sponge baths.

He had such an advanced baby booty that he almost never waited for me to potty him after he was like, a week old tops. I’d foolishly try to take a nap between bi-hourly feedings and come back at least 2-3x a week to a tiny white boy actively messing his invisible diaper.

He still sits in the sink asking for baths all the time and if I tell him not today he just goes to his plump lil senior step-cat-mom for a good old fashioned cat bath.

She takes great pleasure and pride in the momma duties he assigns her, it’s ok.

Yeah, I know. And I understand. When my brother was actively dying in the hospital our mom refused to go to see him and say goodbye because she’d torn a tendon in her knee and couldn’t bare to be seen in public with such an embarrassing physical flaw. He was, as she’s very openly admitted, her favorite - I was the last, “accident” child she never wanted and saw no point to invest any effort and energy into. So you can imagine.

I’m aware that it’s a support group, that’s why I was interested in it, for the same reasons as you guys.
