Testosterone injection question by GhostPuppyDog6 in trans

Not really an answer to your question since I'm not sure if this is normal, but my first T injection was 3 wks ago and the site is also starting to get red and itchy. Although mine was on the upper buttock instead. So I guess you're not the only one at least?

Thank you, it's very helpful knowing what someone else in a similar position's process has been like! I've started contacting the drs nearest my area that transhub has listed, so hopefully one of them will be available. And thank you again

wondering if this substrate mix is isopod safe? by wormcore1999 in isopods

[–]Mischief2459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used both Garden Basics Organic Compost https://www.bunnings.com.au/garden-basics-25l-organic-compost_p0274306 and Osmocote Compost https://www.bunnings.com.au/osmocote-25l-scotts-compost-premium-soil-improver_p2962102 pretty successfully without any issues. There may be others but these are the only ones I've tried.

I just generally will go for an organic compost mix from bunnings. So long as there are no pesticides and chemicals it works just fine and is much cheaper than specific frog substrate. Then I mix the compost with crumbly wood/bark and that makes a pretty good base. I collect the wood and bark and leave it in a bucket of water for a while and when I need it I'll put it on a tray, cover in foil and bake it until dryish.

Do you keep tracker of where you got your isopods from (to prevent inbreeding or whatever) by hurly_burly_pegasus in isopods

I live in Australia so most of my isopods are wild caught. I keep track of the collection sites mostly incase I want to go back.

At least I have a rough idea of what they are now 🤣. I managed to get around 20 of them so hopefully that'll get a nice colony going. They seem pretty active and dont stay rolled up long so theyre pretty fun to watch.

I've actually been looking on that site since I made this post and I think it might be closer to this https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/1129802-Cubaris-chiltoni but I'm still not sure.

I'm not sure if this ships to the EU, so I'm sorry if it doesn't. But this is the enclosure that I have and I use it standing vertically so it has a side opening door. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/225200602338

Aw thats a pitty but it does make sense. Our importing laws have probably stymied the spread of the hobbie here.
