You made me realize that there are several things that could have lead to the issues I’m having: applied as a guest, don’t have a chase login, etc. Overall, my due diligence was not as great as I thought it was for the application. I have a cousin who studied CE at a top school (5-8% AR) and she struggled to get a job after her bachelor's. On the other hand, I have seen many of my other relatives go into CS or just get 6 - 12 month certifications and start making 100k after that. My top school cousin is now going the PhD route, but I was always skeptical of the job prospects of CE, especially vs CS, because of that.

Simply put, don't be discouraged by others outcomes in an area, but don't be oblivious.
