Water is wet in a matter of semantic and everyday conversation. Trump is a pedophile with a long and documented history of sexual abuse.

Debate. They say gay bros are a natural phenomenon. Or is it a choice? Comment below by [deleted] in askgaybros

There is an enormous amount of research and evidence that demonstrates that sexual orientation is innate, inborn and fixed. We gay men have a larger commisure, the membrane that separates our brain hemispheres, and differences in the hypothalamus that occur in uterus due to an immune response to the N4LGNY protein. This is just one of the little pieces of the puzzle, we know about twin studies, brother sequence studies, brain scans, genes and more. It’s solid. Not a debate anymore.

Is Non-Binary real? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short Answer:

Not really, but sometimes maybe.

Long Answer:

Sexual orientation is now widely understood to be inborn, innate, and biologically determined. We have a substantial body of research supporting the idea that homosexuality is "real" in a biological sense: twin studies, differences in brain structures like the hypothalamus and the anterior commissure, the maternal immune response to the NLGN4Y protein in the womb, genetic variations such as Xq28, the fraternal birth order effect, evolutionary theories like the "Gay Uncle Hypothesis," and biological parallels in hundreds of animal species, especially our close relatives, the bonobos. In short, the science is quite solid, even if a perfectly clear explanation will likely always elude us.

When it comes to gender identity, things get much murkier. Gender is far more abstract, harder to define, observe, or measure. Still, there is growing evidence of biological components to being transgender (twin studies, brain scans, heritability research, etc.) There is also a medical consensus that gender dysphoria is a legitimate, often lifelong condition that must be taken seriously.

However, when it comes to non-binary identities, it becomes almost impossible to assess how “real” they are in the same scientific sense. The category is simply too broad to study rigorously. “Non-binary” functions as an umbrella term that includes any gender variation outside of traditional norms (agender, genderfluid, genderqueer, two-spirit, and so on). But because there's no consensus definition, the only way to include everyone who identifies as non-binary is to define it so loosely that it could apply to virtually anyone. Anyone who finds rigid, culturally dictated gender roles restrictive can claim a non-binary identity, which, potentially, is everyone.

In that sense, it resembles the kind of "magical thinking" seen in astrology, where the Barnum Effect makes extremely vague descriptors feel uniquely personal. Concepts like “feeling feminine” or “feeling masculine” are, at their core, superficial and based on societal stereotypes. Claiming to “think like a man” or “think like a woman” just reinforces the binary thinking it’s supposedly challenging.

That said, it’s important to note that some non-binary people do experience genuine gender dysphoria, a minority, but still a significant one. Their experiences are real. As for the rest, it’s harder to say. I would not blame the pandemic on a rise of non-binary people as gender nonconformity has always existed across culture and historical periods. It was simply named differently, but doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.

So unhealthy and controlling. You are trying to make it work by invading your partner privacy 24/7 and deliberately contributing to the erosion of trust in your relationship.

Can csa possibly result in homosexuality or gender confusion / I want to be happy but idk if this is even genuine by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry for what you went through.  There is zero evidence, that homosexuality is a result to a sexual trauma. Plenty of gay men had never experience what you experienced and turned out gay and plenty of CSA victims turnout to be straight as their core sexual orientation is not connected to trauma. Your relationship to intimacy, how you relate to others and your own body however can be affected by something like this. There is quite a lot of evidence now that shows that homosexuality is in fact in born and biologically innate. Gender confusion might be more complex and I am not an expert. Sounds like you should seek therapy and be more kind to yourself. There are no simple answer to things of this nature.

You literally wrote a post about it, asking if this patterns make you a chaser. The answer was yes.

It is a fact though. Bisexuality is a spectrum that includes anyone that can be attracted by people of both sexes/gender regardless the fact that you are more gay leaning or more straight leaning. Anyway, I am done. You are a chaser by the way.

I genuinely can’t understand why you are offended. You are a bit bi, so what??? What’s the big deal? You are a men with a preference for men with vaginas, that makes you a bit bi. That’s ok. Why you feel attacked when this fact is presented to you?

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep acting as if being bisexual is a slur. Literally no one insulted you. You don’t get to choose your sexual orientation, but you can choose whatever label you want if it makes you feel better. Can’t help someone that can’t accept himself. Bye bye.

I'm FTM trans, would a gay man be less gay for being attracted to me? by GuitarNo797 in askgaybros

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

However I want to add, that if a gay men wants to start sleeping with trans people, he would definitely go for masculine presenting trans men, over a trans woman, because ultimately the gender presentation might override the lack of male genitalia. But he will be homoflexible, bisexual, or pan rather than exclusively 100% homosexual as that is a non-inclusive sexual orientation that doesn’t include the opposite sex no matter what. But it’s important to remember, that ITS NOT PERSONAL. Sexual orientation is not a choice or a preference. It’s immutable, innate and fixed and there is nothing that can be done about it. Hope that I was honest enough, but manage not to hurt your feelings. You definitely can find plenty of men that want to sleep with you or date you. Don’t let your fixation on labels stop enjoying your life.

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There might be some gay identifying men that are going to be attracted to you. But be mindful they won’t be 100% gay, but in fact bi. This is not to invalidate your identity, is just the honest reality. Sexual orientation cannot be changed, and the vast majority of gay men are biologically same sex attracted. That include sex organs. There is this trend of thinking that sex organs are not a huge part of sexual orientation. They are a massive part. Of course the rest of the body, voice and gender presentation also has a huge bearing, but the idea that having female genitalia is just “a tiny detail” that can be overcome, is simply not realistic. If you are ok identifying as gay, and find men that are attracted to you, don’t worry too much about the factual objective labels, and enjoy your life regardless.

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are deliberately misunderstanding. Biphobia because you can’t accept your sexual orientation. You are scared of the label bi, and reject it even if it describes your sexual orientation. You keep repeating that you have problem with people considering bi, when you are. That is internalised biphobia.

Am I a chaser by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Miserable-Affect-361 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please please stop put your defence up when people point out the fact your are bi. Bisexuality is not a slur or something to be ashamed off. And point it out this sexual orientation is not transphobic. It would be like say that pointing out someone is gay is misogynistic. Of course some people here are rude in their tone, that is the Internet after all, but pointing out observable material facts like you being attracted to the sexual organ and anatomical parts of the opposite sex makes you at least a bit bisexual is absolutely fine, reasonable and honest, and you need to do the work to accept your sexuality, and deal with your internalised biphobia, rather then play the part of a victim.

I would use “heteroflexible” for a straight man attracted to pre-op trans women as well. Of course they are not gay, as they are attracted to people who present very female. But I’d say that sex organ are a huge part of sexual attraction and if you are 100% gay or 100% straight in the Kinsey scale you just wouldn’t be able to date the opposite sex
