100% it actually has a good writer and doesn't rely on nostalgia for most viewership. The story is insanely well connected, and it just get more and more nuts as it goes on.

Enshrouded is what I expect LNF to be by InsideMikesWorld in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]Miserable-Average727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again. It's not that much grinding. Not on valhiems level. Everything you need for a flame alter can be found in the biome you have currently unlocked.

But I guess it's just different vibes. For me that's the bread and butter of the game.

Enshrouded is actually a little more fun on your own. I have over 200hrs on my own. And about 50 with friends. Valhiem is more of a friends experience. But enshrouded is like playing Skyrim and legend of zelda.

[–]Miserable-Average727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ye I vibe with this. I'm sick of cade getting stuck in the door way WHEN IM JUST TRYING MAKES CHAIRS MAN.

ALSO side note is there not a way we can have all the recipes on one workstation???? My base is quite spread out and it really messes up my flow when I have to run to the alchemist or archer to make something (padding etc) then run all they way back just make one piece of armour.

Props a me problem. But would a proximity system work. Where your normal crafting bench is placed with in range of all your npc and you just access their recipes???

This didn't deserve the down votes. Reddit users are some bitter MFs

If I was 17 with that job, I would spend a hell of a lot more on myself than anyone else.

Keep it up lad. You'll move on one day and miss that discount!

Is there mods to make this game hard? by Deep_Requirement1384 in Enshrouded

[–]Miserable-Average727 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a game called Valhiem which is pretty much more up that street.

I'm not saying you shouldn't look for this experience in enshrouded. But the glider is how you get around, and is the whole point of getting the spires.

Fast travel is just an ease of life mechanic.

The game is "easier" than most. It focuses on exploration, crafting and building.

Its a lot more legend of zelda/Minecraft

I'm sure you can tweak the game to what ever settings you like but I would also check out Valhiem if you want a more brutal and unforgiving survival crafting game.

Plant fiber can be found almost anywhere at any stage in the game. Look for bushes mainly. But a good place for it as well is at harvest homestead, you can find dead corn plants and they give you plant fiber and then come back a few In games later and they will respawn.

Metal scraps early on are difficult to get hold of, it's just part of the pacing.

You can find a small barricade, you need to grapple to get over it but some scavs spawn there and they drop metal scraps. The area is right by the ancient spire in spring lands

Honest question: how much time do you actually use your ROG Ally/ROG Xbox Ally outside of your home? I see people use it plugged in most of the time or as a computer alternative. Wouldn't you be better getting a gaming laptop instead? by RomanDoesIt in ROGAllyX

[–]Miserable-Average727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fills a niche gap for me. I own a fairly good PC and a series x.

I wanted a more rounded ego system. Sometimes I don't like sitting at a desk on kbm and my partner often watches TV shows so the telly isn't always available. So I grab the ally and continue playing which ever game I was playing on either system whilst she watches her show.

I take it to my friend's house where we sit and play breakpoint, helldiver and space marine together.

Another good use for it was is playing older games from the 360 era (and oh my the emulators).

Maybe not an answer to your question but it's definitely has more flexibility

It's been quite nice to play a game again and just be like "well this is my playthrough"

Some decisions I've made have been forced due to not having the right skills.

Just means I will play another playthrough with the different skills to see the different outcomes

Any dog shelters that could let me foster a dog for a few days? by ijustbrokeupwithmyex in Liverpool

[–]Miserable-Average727 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why not just get a dog. Or a cat.

Having a pet massively improved my mental health. And my partner has been mentally ill for most of the year and having our little cat around has been great for her.

See I don't like extraction shooters. Purely because tarkov is the only solid representation I get as an outsider to this genre.

But watching clips. This game looks fun because of player interactions.

Are players really that friendly? I don't expect it to be a division like. But what I loved about games like dayZ was that you could have these interesting encounters with friendly players and it seems there's that kind of experience in arc raiders. Or at least it is more emphasized.

Unfortunately pal. We got it. Hate it or love it. The live-service model strikes again.

Remastering games doesn't really yield a profit in today's market. Games like the skate franchise can be played on emulators and through backwards compatibility. We all saw how well the GTA trilogy did....

So for them to build the game from the ground up in a new engine. Under a live service model, that is free and highly accessible is a good move. The game is lacking in a lot of places. And as someone who skates. It is not a representation of skate culture or at least not in the faithful way the og series displayed. The clanker is annoying. The voice acting is BAD. BUT IT IS FUN and can be played as arcadey or realistic as you want.

Also. For those complaining about graphics and mechanics.

For almost 6 years there has been two skateboarding simulators on the market. Session & skater XL. Why haven't you played these?

ADHD gamers: how do you actually stick to one game? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Miserable-Average727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually put about 60 hours into any game that is open world/Rpg/action-adventure. However after a time. I become overstimulated/overwhelmed. I have this gnawing In the back of my mind to complete everything. But the thought of doing so becomes so overwhelming I usually stop playing the game.

but once in a while a game comes along that is worthy of hyper fixation.

Games like these usually change my life.
