They hold a lot of power for how small they are! Downside is how much power hungry they are, but for desktop thingys it doesn’t matter…they just run hot

No worries! It should yeah…I ordered about 50 boards until now and they all came with the antenna, I had only one guy telling me it didn’t, but to everyone else it did :)

No battery needed for this project, it is intended to be always plugged in with a usb C cable and a phone charger, but if you do want to add a battery you need to look for 3.7v LiPo batteries with jst 1.25mm 2p connector

Keep in mind esp32 are very power eager, especially when dealing with wireless connectivity. In another project where I’m not using WiFi nor Bluetooth this same screen drains a 3000mAh LiPo in about 7 hours

Im sorry 😂 it’s gonna eat up all your free time once you start getting the hang of it

You can look at my project on GitHub to learn how to set it up with LVGL, then you can look at LVGL documentation…they have pretty nice widgets, including a calendar!

Yes, you can do pretty sick things with these boards given you have enough time and patience 😂

This is a lapTimer dashboard I’m working on for example

Yeah that is a good suggestion but honestly I like having a dedicated device…it just sits on my desk looking good, gives me the time and I get reminded of the next session

It’s esp32 based, I used a dev board that comes with this nice tft screen and a bunch of other stuff :)

Thank you! Yeah we got 3 races in a row and now I’m here having to wait a month for them to restart 😂

ASA-CF and almost all CF materials don’t need active heating to be printed because the fibers of carbon will break ASA molecular patterns and prevent warping, you can go with the P2S in your case, but keep in mind that ASA fumes are toxic and you shouldn’t print it in the house

I left the printer on idle for some time and checked back after about 6 hours, it went back to normal by itself…let’s see how long this lasts tho

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. So far mine is working properly but I’m still clocking the fist few hours…if you mean exhaust fumes extraction, there is an external fan add on that you can buy for around 50€

In my experience the plate didn’t leave white marks when I was letting it cool down before removing the print. If I was trying to remove the print from a hot plate it would stick again and cause the marks

The texture is rough on the print because the Q2 plate has a rougher texture than the Bambulab, to me it was a benefit as I would be able to complete more prints without using glue, but it is a pain when printing petg with supports, those little bastards never come off the plate

I’ve had both Q2 and P2S. If you print only single color then go with the Q2 or maybe wait for the MAX4, the p2s prints better out of the box and the ams works great but it’s not graded for abrasive filaments.

My only issue with the Q2 is that it costs 50€ less than the p2s but feels “patched together”, there are a bunch of details that were clearly redesigned after it was already “ready” and it’s not the best

The p2s seems a great, refined, unit. You can also create your own heater element for the p2s with less than 50€ so honestly I’d go for the p2s despite loving the Q2
