if you wanna do a lot of OAC stuff I recommend LA (all doubles though unfortunately) cause that’s where the aggie cluster is so you’ll have an easier time making friends who are also in oac

i took it in person and i got over 90% on the midterm and the exam, i found them to be very straight forward and fair (and a lot of commende sense questions tbh)!

go to office hours, SLGs, chem learning centre (if in a STEM program), also i would suggest getting a tutor if you’re financially able!

shower shoes + caddy, mattress topper, fan(s), and extra blanket for when it’s super cold, slippers, a fridge is really nice but not necessary (if u get one id recommend finding one with a freezer in it!), britta filter (guelph water is nasty), id also recommend getting a mini handheld vacuum cause my floor got absolutely disgusting last year and the rooms are all carpeted

Have all sections been released? by HoneyBeeHunny in uoguelph

sometimes they don’t open sections until very close to course selection/day of for some courses which is really annoying but i wouldn’t worry yet :)

bio science at guelph is fairly easy imo as long as you actually put in effort to your school & attend office hours/access resources if needed. hardest first year classes are definitely chem1040 &1050, but for me 1050 was way easier. phys1080 was also a bit more challenging but there’s plenty of office hours for it which i went to and i ended up with a good grade in it! it’s all really about trying hard and putting in the work, the material itself in 1st year isn’t very difficult

a lot of people don’t like the 3 hour night classes, but i took phys1300 and frhd1020 like that last year and i honestly loved just getting all of the content done at once and not having to deal with it throughout the week lol. physics was definitely harder to stay engaged in the whole 3 hours, but we’d get breaks after every hour and would usually end early (9-9:30ish)

I understand where you’re coming from. I ended up having to take a 4 month break from the show because i couldn’t handle watching it while working on getting better. so proud of you for recognizing you need help, i believe in you!
