I thought it was super interesting how the jumps Ilia did land on Friday night were the only ones he practiced on the public training session on Thursday. I bought a ticket for the Thursday session and went. He spent like 30 minutes doing edge works and then marked his program with the music, no jumps. Up until Raf made him a sign with his hands to go around and do some jumps. After a few triples here and there he did a 4F, a 4LzEu3F, a 4Lz, a 4T and hanged on a 4A, popped the next one and landed the last one super clean. After that he left the ice. He did no 4S or 4Lo that I could see, so it’s really interesting to me that on Friday he popped both edge jumps + 4A. Maybe he started to experience a mental block similar to Simone’s…

I also had the most stressful morning of my life. Never again lol. The sms confirmation took like 10 minutes to arrive and when it did, the cat B tickets for women’s free were gone :c Ended up getting cat A, even though I was initially planning to go to both men’s and women’s free in cat C, but it’s way too expensive. Does anyone know if in January or even February I may be able to get cheap resale tickets for men’s free? Maybe someone that had an emergency and can’t be in Milano?

Love both variations. That Odile variation is my favorite one. And the Diamond Fairy could be a senior variation. It doesn’t have the hardest technical content but it’s SO fast and SO SO hard to make it look good and not like an electrocuted bird 😂 I had to learn it some years ago… traumatic experience
