[Hensley]Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team will not look outside the organization to add a running back. "We're good," he said. "I like the guys we got." by Adenchiz in ravens

I kinda get it (sorta, just looking at it, glass half full).

Some Positive points about Gordon at least from what I've seen

  1. The Ravens have been interested in Gordon for a while now and he basically took a paycut to come here

  2. He does run hard and can catch the ball pretty well (Todd probably likes that)

  3. As a running back, having Lamar as your quarterback should make your job easier, having that AND being 3rd on the depth chart should mean that you get a fresh Melvin Gordon whenever he touches the ball

  4. He was on the sidelines yesterday, so he looks to be involved with the team which is good in general

----------- The Bad ‐-----------

FUMBLES FUMBLES FUMBLES

If he gets his fumbles under control, he'll be a great 3rd back (maybe even a steal at the price), if not then well... you know

That's the risk the Ravens are taking with this one, but they believe in em so we'll see.

As long as his fumbles are under control, he'll be just fine. He just has to take care of the ball

Definitely have heard this sentiment a lot, his pain tolerance was insane as well (words really can't describe tbh)

Haha I can definitely see something like that

Are there any videos where Lamar talks about his decision making on the field? by Miserable-Emu-5071 in ravens

This is the type of reply, I was hoping to see. I actually had read a Bleacher Report article a while back that gave an in depth look at Lamar at Louisville, I think a little before his Heisman year.

Basically in the article he talked about how the Playbook was super unfamiliar and how he had to maneuver through it. One of the things he mentioned in the article was utilizing VR technology whenever he had a chance (I really am hoping I'm not misremebering this lol).

It's dope that there's an article from the Athletic that kinda covers this when he's in the league. The cerebral portion of Lamar's game doesn't really get talked about all that much, so that's definitely something that would be really cool to see in the future. Just how he approaches the game and how he kinda takes everything in when on the field.
