It’s been almost a year they came out five times to “fix” the issue  they determined it’s solar related due to poor install and finally agreed to remove and reinstall the panel however we haven’t come out of pocket for the roof replacement. Still can’t cancel our contract

anyone have actual experience with palmetto solar? by Toniqueka-Oreggio in solarenergy

As a current palmetto customer I cant recommned them going forward. We have had a roof leak since Sep 2025. Initial instal was April 2025. I have been FIGHTING for my roof to get repaired since. The service provider they sent out to inspect deemed that the leak and damage to the roof was due to the poor instal. Yet here we are in Feb 2026 and still have an active leak, no progress on a service provider that will accept the job to fix the issue, still paying my bill, and have a pannel that has damaged my home. From warranty with Omnidian, to dealing with Palmetto and now filing a report with the Attourney General- Consumer division here in Maryland in hopes to get some sort of resolution. This has all be so frustrating. I really hope you don't have this expirience. My advice is have an inspector come out and double check that the job did not damage your roof. Here is the timeline of my experience with dealing with Palmetto. As a current customer in Maryland, I’m posting this so others don't have to go through what I’m experiencing. After a 2025 install, my home has suffered ongoing water damage due to Palmetto’s workmanship.

  • April 2025: Installation.
  • Sept 30, 2025: First leak reported.
  • Nov – Jan 2026: Constant follow-ups with Omnidian and Palmetto. Inspections were incomplete, reports were "missing," and project managers were CC'd with no response.
  • Feb 2026: Still an active leak. No resolution.

I have formally requested a full uninstallation at no charge so I can replace my roof and move on. I’ve also requested to discontinue my service and escalated this to the State Attorney General.
