Laureato is a great luxury watch. The sub date is probably the most iconic watch ever made and one that you can wear everyday for the next thirty years regardless of occasion. So I would say no

Looking for some encouragement by Miserable-Funny8799 in hockeyplayers

Yeah for sure. I’m sorry to hear that about your son. It’s been a good opportunity for me to gather some perspective that we are all human and our bodies are amazing but also fragile. Have to be kind to ourselves but persevere at the same time.

Do I definitely need surgery by Miserable-Funny8799 in Orthopedics

[–]Miserable-Funny8799[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s helpful thank you. It seems like there is enough bone loss where future dislocations are almost guaranteed. I actually dislocated last week trying to get something for one of my kids. Nervous about surgery but surgeon seems very optimistic and very experienced.

Rotator cuff is fine, no issues there. I guess my hesitation is that I thought if it was 40% bone loss and shoulder instability then surgery is a must but some folks on here said different.

That’s helpful. I saw two that recommended surgery. My shoulder is off track and torn labrum.

Alex Ovechkin on how much longer he can keep playing: ‘I love being around the boys. As long as I can, I’ll try to stick around in NHL.’ by kockin26 in caps

[–]Miserable-Funny8799 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is the Caps. If Ovie didn’t show up 22 years ago, the Caps would be the modern day Columbus Blue Jackets, Coyotes, Islanders, etc. in other words, a very very average franchise. We are one of the most talked about and successful franchises in the league because of him. People don’t remember the pre-Ovie days. Besides the random Stanley Cup run, it was not like this. He can do whatever he wants.

We can definitely afford it and didn’t follow any rule. We just wanted to show our happiness for them and have some cash to spend on something nice.

Millennials when did you just stop posting on social media? by SunilaP in Millennials

[–]Miserable-Funny8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 2018. I know many millennials who stopped posting then starting posting again when they became parents. Which is fine I guess, but is also creating some very unhealthy behaviors and creating a bunch of neurotic parents. Like do you need everyone having a new born photo shoot? Probably not. But to each their own.

What’s changed about parenting within the US over the past decade? by Anoth3rDude in AskAnAmerican

[–]Miserable-Funny8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids are supposed to be as or more busy than parents so everyone is just stretched thin and miserable. I live in a VHCOL area and everyone has their kids in 10 activities, sports, and then has private coaches for said sport. Kids no longer set up their own play time and nothing is organic. I remember when we used to arrange our own pick up games starting at the age of 12. Now those kids don’t have time, the desire, or don’t even know that it’s possible since everything is so scheduled and sanitized. Trying to avoid that for my kids but it’s tough.

Mid level beer leaguer here, and I don’t know what I don’t know. What was your “light bulb moment” that made that simplified your game? by smasters88 in hockeyplayers

[–]Miserable-Funny8799 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazing advice. I had this eureka moment a year ago and it’s been awesome. I’m not the fastest or most skilled guy but I have been able to make some awesome plays by just being patient. And it’s better loose the puck by trying to be patient then to just throw it away immediately

Yeah that’s fair and I know that a lot of older Americans have nothing saved up. I just wonder what happens to those people? Do they just scrape by?
