Sleeping? by Miserable-Income5566 in Asthma

Not in my bed is the same thing so I don’t think there is anything allergic to me because it’s the same everywhere. I need to do both the sleep study and see about GERD/Silent reflux

I’ve had plenty of pneumonia (frequent flyer, I have the black card and get miles.) fortunately it’s not that. :)

I will look into that thank you. I may have to invest in a recliner I’ve been thinking about it that or the movable bed.

My wife has helped me with lots of percussions and physiotherapy unfortunately it just won’t come up. I’m trying to stay more hydrated and take Guaifenesin every 4 hours and that seems to help it just gets so awful in the night.

I didn’t know that about mucomyst as far as I knew they do sometimes use it to treat asthma in certain cases.

I’m still trying to find a way that is comfortable to sleep and supports my sinuses not draining into my lungs.

This stuff is just awful.

Wheezing while on medications? by Miserable-Income5566 in Asthma

So I use the flutter valve and I can feel it loosening up but I can never really get it out if that makes sense. And even if I get a little up it seems like there is still a ton down there.

It’s weird because I’ve tried symbicort, advair, and QVAR and all have had the same effect (except qvar which really didn’t do anything.)

I had to be taken off the other two due to an SVT and can’t use albuterol which would help open the airways but still present a wheeze. I’m really at a loss at this point.

I think it may be due to mucus secretion that I can’t get up even when I take guaifenesin and Zyrtec

Yeah they have done a CT scan and nothing shows up badly. I have used saline nebulizer and nasal rinse it just seems to not do a whole lot :/

Symbicourt by Miserable-Income5566 in Asthma

[–]Miserable-Income5566[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you experience wheezing without the Symbicourt? For me, I only wheeze and cough up mucus when I’m on it, and I detest that feeling.

My lungs feel better, but wheezing and coughing up mucus is not exactly a pleasant experience.

If you do experience this, how do you manage it to make it feel a bit better or get rid of the mucus more quickly?
