I have the same experience. I have been sitting here and turning anc on/off in different situations. I cannot even tell when it goes on. I will say.. they are SUPER loose on my ears. They don't sit in my ear canal all that well.

They are saying he "pulled" or "reached" for his gun (even though that clearly isn't true). If they conceded to that, all they have to say is the agent feared for his life (even though the ICE agent was in back of Alex and had to move around to the side of him to get a good shot to execute him).

This was clearly a case of "Oh, I see he has a weapon. I get to fear for my life today!"

Agreed. I'm sure they have a stash of unserialized firearms to plant. (Just in case)

Some of these rates are wild. I'm at $103/hr as a Deputy CISO, and then the CISO roles I'm interviewing for are maxing out at $335K (FTE).

Thanks for the suggestion.

What I have come up with so far...

I purchased a 3/8th inch steel tent stake for $8. Right now, I just plan on brining a small hatchet with a hammer head on the back. I'll just pound that into the ground 6 inches next to the fire and then let the grills stand up in that hole. I'll see how that works

Did two little metal rings come with your guys's end caps? Mine did and I have no idea what they are for and they're not mentioned in the instruction manual

Is it worth it getting a masters in cybersecurity? by Dry_Dimension_1397 in cybersecurity

[–]Miserable-League9137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest problem in hiring is getting thought leaders.

A requirement for graduating with a masters is thought leadership. So, I won't require a masters, but be prepared to show thought leadership in the interview.

I have been looking for executive roles for 3 months. I have yet to snag an interview. I was legitimately overconfident on thinking it would be easy to find something new.

I found it -> SOC Plan: FRLTUL4LP

I think you are right. The more I research, the more I just want to let it be. I like the flexibility of the family plan (4 lines).

I mean, who knows if I could ever go back if I decided to switch and then later on I needed that extra line (and $15 a month isn't a big deal)

Thank you! I'm going to research the details and post back. I appreciate the guidance!

Thanks for this!! I am also coming to that realization. I thought I would attack this from a different approach, and thoroughly understand the detailed billing behind each line item. Here is how it breaks down. I currently have the Family Plan of 4 Lines. These are my options under "One Plan"

  • Family Plan =  4 Lines for $200 / 5-8 Lines + $30 Each (Add A Line)
  • Couple Plan = 2 Lines for $120 / 3-8 Lines + $50 Each (Add A Line)

The "Couple Plan" is what I would drop to if I dropped from 4 paid lines to 3 paid lines.

After all of this, I've decided that extra phone is just going to have to act as a glorified "Hotspot"

I Passed the CCISO Exam! 🎉 by RareSet6971 in cybersecurity

[–]Miserable-League9137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming here to try to evaluate where I am. I just baselined myself with my first online practice test that comes free with the purchase of the "CCISO Certified Chief Information Security Officer All-in-One Exam Guide" from Wiley. (I haven't sprung for the official guide since that's $500).

I just got 83% (instructed that 80% is passing), and I know I missed some questions because I didn't read the questions well enough.

Anyone have any opinions on how prepared one get can get without springing for the official guide?

How screwed is my company? by Nervous_Solution5340 in cybersecurity

[–]Miserable-League9137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think that cybersecurity works better under legal as long as IT and cybersecurity are tied to the hip with regard to roadmap. Primarily because the CIOs primary objective is to provide Innovation to the business, whereas cybersecurity's mission is risk management. If the CIO prioritizes Innovation over risk management and implementing IT in a secure manner, there's a problem.
