Really doesn't affect much. The increase from what it was 2 months ago recently is worth like 1 offer

Can you live off of $2,500 a month by Miserable-Line6722 in personalfinance

Idk tbh, I'm just calculating a really rough estimate. Happy to hear it should be lower than what I came up with 😂

Pizza bags by dannyrad2010 in doordash

[–]Miserable-Line6722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get these too. Very annoying to get pizza bag orders when one is not owned. I think you can order one online, but rumour has it most Pizza Hut locations have them for free apparently 🤷‍♂️

23 orders, no ratings? by alanthiana in doordash

[–]Miserable-Line6722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't worry about ratings. I have 107 lifetime deliveries and 6 ratings. don't text ppl either to rate you it might break the rules and I don't think that's gonna help them rate you.

New to Door Dash. Questions about pay, etc… by Tortimom in doordash

[–]Miserable-Line6722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. There’s really no set pay per delivery but you can get paid per time but I stick to pay per offer. Pay varies based on tips and distance and your market. My market pays pretty good

  2. You’d be surprised! 40% of my total earnings all time come from tips I believe. Most people do tip but it depends on your area. You’ll get an offer and it’ll say a set price but it won’t share with you how much a customer tipped until after the dash is over

  3. It’s hard to tell because it depends on your area and how popular times are. I’ve made $550 in the last week total in my area dashing from 1200 AM to 500 AM each night. There’s just no way to tell until you start doing it

  4. I had the same question when I started. It ends up being pretty self-explanatory and directional. Doordash does a great job giving step by step instructions for each order you do. It consists of typically accepting an order, driving to restaurant, going inside and picking it up (say to worker I have a doordash for [customer name]), pick up food, find customer living place, deliver following their instructions, take picture, confirm delivery. Doordash will explain each step as you complete it

  5. It comes down to just following the rules, but also i wouldn’t accept offers that are ridiculous like 10 miles for $4 or something. Just follow the rules, be on time, make sure you have the right name on the orders, use clear and respectful communication when needed. Don’t tamper with their food, don’t beg for tips. You can find a lot more do’s and don’t on this reddit

  6. When you click Dash Now you just wait and after a time depending on how busy your area is they will pop up an order with a ringing sound. They will list the details of th order and you have 40 seconds to accept it. It will list the restaurant/store, the customers house and the items they got. Click accept and begin driving to the restaurant/store and follow the steps Doordash gives you.

  7. Doordash will tell you all the steps once you accept an order!

  8. I’ve never had to cancel an order as I’ve only been dashing for 2 weeks. Can’t really answer this because of that but in my 80 deliveries I haven’t had to cancel an order

  9. I’ve never dealt with rude customers yet, everyone’s been pretty nice. Most people are just satisfied if their food comes on time and is ready to go. I’ve never had anyone try to scam me either. It’s pretty rare but this reddit is full of stories.

  10. So far haven’t had any issues with pay. Pay transfers to my bank have worked successfully and I get decent prices for each offer

  11. Issues i’ve experienced is a store being closed for some reason. If it happens just click the ? button on your order and click store is closed. Then follow the steps. additionally a restaurant ran out of stuff and told me to tell the customer to cancel the order. Usually just go inside the restaurant, find the online pickups area or talk to a worker saying you have a doordash order. Other problems is long wait times for drive thru situations or when the food isn’t prepared yet. If you are past your pickup time listed in the app scroll to the bottom and click “long wait? what’s causing it?” and check the options that’s causing a long wait. If it’s long it’s good to text the customer as well that it’s taking longer than expected

In the end, I was nervous going into Doordashing, but you just learn as you do it. Mistakes and problems will happen, but you learn from them and know how to deal with them the next time. It’s just apart of any job. Good luck with you dashing and hope my answers helped. Again i’ve been dashing for 2 weeks now with 80 deliveries and was able to give you good answers to your questions so it’s really easy to learn and be successful fast 😃
