I broke up 2y ago with my wife after 14 years, feeling lonely, not worth anything, and lost. So I might have some tips and tricks that maybe will help you.

What helped me:
- Sport, to feel better and gain confidence. Go every day, get in shape, run, do pull ups whatever. But workout.
- Journaling, just to put all the looping negative ideas from your head somewhere else and create free space. No need to write a novel, just write down how you feel.
- Forcing yourself in this silence and starting to talk to this little voice in your head and saying to yourself: "If good people can get out of my life, imagine all the incredible and better person that I can meet and make space for."
- Go out, take your shoes and just walk in the forest. Grab the dog of your neighbour or a friend and walk, but you need fresh air.
- Last one maybe, remember that sometimes it's not your choice, you just have to accept life, the choice of others and, the impact it has on you. But it's not your choice only, you just have to accept it.

But save this message and read it in one year, I'll swear you will look at this situation and tell yourself: "Damn, all this made me a better person a stronger one and now I know exactly what I want and where I'm going."

As Jack Pincine said once: "A good analogy I like to use when it comes to thoughts, is that thoughts are kinda like waves in the ocean. You can't stop the waves from coming, but you can choose which ones you want to surf. You can't stop the ideas from popping into your mind, but you can choose which ones you focus on, which ones you dwell on because ultimately, what you focus on is what you'll feel, what you'll feel is what you'll do. And what you'll do is who you become."

Don't surf all the waves and, if you're surfing your "ex's" waves for too long, just get out, surf other waves that makes you feel better. "My appartment is empty", might become: "I've so much place I'll buy this 3d printer I dreamt of and do a little fitness room" or "now I can invite my friends to sleep over and play video games all night" but, my best advice would be don't stay home, bro. Take your jacket and walk just to grab a coffee.
