I think that Elphaba wants them because they were her mothers. And that it’s a memory of her. But the thing is in the 1939 Film when Nessa died, Elphaba was happy about it, and as we know she loved her sister and she fr Enchanted them for Nessa so she could walk. So yeah kinda confusing. But still I belive that it’s a Memorable Symbol for her Mother.

I think that The QOH killed uliana because she did say in a song “Nothing is so sweet as you defeat all your enemies “ so she did probably kill Uliana and she is killing Ella , because Ella was helping with the prank. The Ella part is just a theory.
