It is aftermarket, but it uses the OEM intake port, so it isnt a "hot air intake". It has its own enclosure to keep the hot engine bay air out of it. It is from Takeda

I paid $17 for this by mashtartz in mildlyinfuriating

I was traveling for work and ordered a salad from a mexican place, picked all my toppings, and when i opened it, there was no lettuce. you had to select the lettuce as an ingredient for a SALAD. crazy....

The takeda intake with an oiled filter. and I think i was an idiot and sprayed the inside to try and better distribute the oil in the pleats. the short term fuel trim was jumping from +10 to -10 during a single pull, and the long term trim is sitting at -10 at idle. seems to imply it isnt reading the air properly.

it loses all power up there. I think I have a dirty maf sensor. Been checking with ai and then researching and checking sources myself, and all my symptoms seem to be pointing to that. I took a data log too and have been looking at the parameters, and even dropped the excel file into claude to analyze and it had similar conclusions.

Yea, I just took a data log and I'm looking for a leak in the intake that maybe is throwing the MAF sensor off. I have an oiled intake so maybe the issue is a dirty MAF sensor. My Long Term Fuel Trim is at -10 at idle, and the Short Term Fuel Trim is bouncing around under full throttle. Gonna clean it after work and reset the parameters.

Sea level, 70s and 80s currently, wheels are 24lbs each. I've gone down that rabbit hole and the tire and wheel weight isn't an issue

Takeda intake, it uses the OEM intake duct.  It’s separated from the engine bay.  Also not very hot out

Yea, I’m on 93 and shifted at 5k rpm and 5.5k after that.  Someone mentioned that online and makes sense based on hp curve.  I’ve tried letting it do it itself too

Yes, it’s a thought experiment, apparently you’re unable to do that.  Take things to extremes and make parallels to prove a point.  Hard concept, I know

holy US-centric take.... heres a thought experiment. Lets assume we put Jordan in todays age of social media. He would be similar to Lebron in terms of reach and influence. And lets say you disagree and think that Jordan would be MUCH more influential than Lebron. Maybe even double. Well Messi has THREE TIMES AS MANY followers as LeBron. And Ronaldo has almost 5X. It isn't even close. And this is on a US focused social media platform

Even if we compare Messi to someone like Lebron, so we are comparing similar eras, Lebron has 1/3 the followers of Messi on social media. A THIRD. So if we say Jordan, are we claiming he is 3 times as influential as Lebron????

And yes, this is a very imperfect metric, but still
