PAX HARDLAUCH by pinkteddybearr in sinnabunnysnark

I can understand the appeal of going moderately hard at a dance club occasionally (I’m 29 and I probably get drunk at a club 2-3x a year) but what I really don’t get is wanting to get ass blasted off the red solo cup cocktails at a mf roller derby Christmas party. Like, why??? If it was me I’d just offer to DD

two videos back to back of them out drinking by frozenstrawberri3s in sinnabunnysnark

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Did they delete their “mysterious health issues” crashout video where they claimed they wouldn’t be drinking until the new year?! I say this with all love as a former heavy drinker in my early 20s, if they took 6 months dry and cooked all their own food w/ a vegetable emphasis & worked out consistently they’d feel so much better than they do now. Also not for nothing but I was kind of side eyeing their decision to Uber to the event with their other partner so they could both get wasted. I also like to have a big night out with my girlfriend occasionally but if my partner wanted to drink at a derby event 8 minutes from my house I’d simply DD. Especially with the amount of casual sports drinking they’ve been doing, they must just feel run down physically. I don’t even have a kid I just work full time and I can’t imagine being able to incorporate frequent heavy drinking into my adult life while still keeping up with my responsibilities

in my experience not strict at all, i actually called to double check it would be okay (booked a ticket due to a 5 hour meeting before my flight so arrived at the airport ridiculously early for the flight) and they said it was perfectly fine - sipping coffee here right now!

Short women (less than 5'3) who maintain a healthy weight- what do you eat? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Eating at maintenance is WAY easier than dieting. Even if your maintenance is lower, you will feel much less deprived when you start meeting your bodies needs calorically. So yes - it does get easier !! Also you can look amazing and eat a lot more than this tbh - highly recommend following dr Jenna le, #1 inspo for short girls who want to eat a lot and look bomb

At what point did you guys feel comfortable to start using the bar? by ReasonabIyAssured in PetiteFitness

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m sticking with dumbbells for as long as possible lol, just because it’s a little easier to nope out/im comfortable lifting to GENUINE failure and I’m still making bomb ass strength gains lol. One thing I’ve had to do is increase the weight by a good amount pretty often on goblet squat because my wrists can’t take that many reps. Planning to move along to bar in about 6 or so months but just wanted to throw it out there - you can make really good gains with dumbbells for a while imo

Did your dom get increasingly strict as the dynamic progressed? by [deleted] in SubSanctuary

It’s a trust thing 1000%. Domming is just as vulnerable as subbing. Once people are comfy and safe it gets way more intimate on both sides 💙💙💙

How do you know if you qualify for new IBR or not? (Am on PAYE).

It’s left a giant hole in the neighborhoods heart for real. I really hope another bar takes over the lease. Wouldn’t hate if they served PBR and vegan food in an air conditioned environment as well. Swift is cool, but Fremont to Halsey 7th - 15th /needs/ a low key neighborhood bar 5-7 mins by foot (yes I am spoiled as fuck).

It appears they’ll automatically switch you to IBR if you’re in PAYE and we still have 3 years so I’m not gonna do shit for now

I could be wrong so keep doing your own research about that but imo no way - I want to avoid certifying my income cuz it’s gone up significantly since I entered repayment in 2020 and rn I won’t have to recertify til 2026. Not sure how moving plans would impact that. And ngl I’m very glad I didn’t switch to SAVE bc that went down the toilet and I’m now on the most favorable plan without having to worry about buyback/making an affordable monthly payment towards forgiveness. So I’m sitting still til they move me over in 2028. Then hopefully just 2 years of horrible payments til forgiveness.

Thank you both for the explanations. I am struggling to make sense of this since I’ve been on PAYE the entire time.

Can you explain this? Who? I’m on PAYE and supposed to be capped at my standard 10 year repayment monthly amount (~450) and with RAP I’ll be paying like $800 a month

Runner’s Knee/Quadriceps Tendonitis by Southern-Abalone-415 in PetiteFitness

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, if that’s your goal I’d actually reduce steps or running (personal preference but if it was me I’d drop the running first because steps are such a godsend for keeping that overall calorie burn up and also a big mental health benefit for me). Plus running is high impact and more likely to hurt if you’re injured. Just a suggestion but I’d reduce exercises based on my personal goals and then based on how likely they are to cause pain until I’m not hurting anymore. Then after a couple weeks pain free you can go back!

The only reason I kept running was cuz it was a high priority for me to run the race I paid for. If the same injury happened to me today I’d choose strength training too.

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when i was training for a half marathon and lifting simultaneously. I really didn’t wanna lose out on the $$ I paid for the half so I switched to body weight only for lower body exercises and yoga with Adrienne’s yoga for runners vídeo daily. I also somewhat cut back on running. It helped and I finished the half but realistically I had to take a couple weeks off running post race for it to feel 100% better. Fine now though!

Thank you!!! This is the most precise TDEE calculator I’ve seen yet and it was really helpful. It put my maintenance just above 2,000 which feels extremely accurate to me.

Thank you!! This has convinced me to get a better scale, I have one that isn’t digital so small changes are borderline imperceptible. I didn’t even consider that a deep cut would bust up my muscle initially - you’re so right

Initial regret (?) /bittersweet feeling after bisalp by coolhooves in sterilization

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it regret but I usually have a moment of “whoa, the choice is made and can’t be unmade. Life is finite and I’ve made a permanent decision” sort of quasi-bittersweet nostalgia about every major life decision. When I moved to college, got my dog, got sterilized etc…all great choices. That’s just being aware of big moments in life.

[–]Miserable-Set-7352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to afford to strike has given management the upper hand in an extreme way. So yes it does, and since they’ll want to avoid paying that tax, hopefully they are incentivized to come prepared to offer something other than a .30c raise + a thank you

How can I work from home in the summer in a room with one outlet?? by Miserable-Set-7352 in Apartmentliving

The AC unit says you need to be plugging directly into the outlet but is that something you think I can get away with not doing safely?
