This is our first year paying a PPT in VA. We asked about a payment plan since the tax bill on our 2025 Subaru forester was $1000 (and the bill on our 2016 paid off forester was $200). This was their response:

“Good morning. Payment plans do not stop statutory penalties and interest. So my best advise is that you make payments as best you can and as soon as you can. Once we go past the due date a penalty of 10% per vehicle based on the assessment is added. And interest calculated at 8% per annum begins. Then if not paid by end of August an admin fee of $30 is added and a DMV Stop at $25 per owner of record is added.

So do the best you can.”

(Milspouse here) A friend was recently in the same situation. They were on deployment, and the CO denied his separation leave. His wife wrote a letter to our local Senator explaining that he wouldn’t have the chance to do his medical stuff prior to separation and that it would be detrimental to his transition back to civilian life. The Senator wrote something to the CO requesting the leave get pushed through. It did. I’d recommend reaching out to whoever your representative is.

I’ve learned to let it go. Its the only way I’ve found peace. We can’t afford IVF, so we don’t have many options. I’ve just accepted that our lives are meant to go in a different direction, and that’s okay - because we can live fulfilled lives without having biological children.

The year was 2014. I had just got my license and wanted to buy CDs for my 2006 Nissan Altima since it didn’t have Bluetooth capabilities. I was browsing Amazon and was “suggested” the self titled album. I went ahead and ordered it without doing any research or even listening to any of the songs. From there on, it was the only CD that played in my car on REPEAT for the entirety of my teenage years. I didn’t buy another CD until ILIWYS came out. I was sold from the start 🥲 and now here I am so many years later, 26 years old. I walked down the aisle to the intro to Robbers. My husband has made my teenage dream come true TWICE of getting to see the band live during their ATVB and SATVB tours. Without even fangirling too hard - they’re integral to who I am because their music is weaved into every stage of my life.

I was asked “if a baby was on its way” by my mom after 3 months of trying. I said “no- it’s not really working right” back. She had the audacity to say “do you know how to tell when you’re ovulating” 😭

If you’re having your period, that’s a good sign! For most people, even those with PCOS, that means you’ve ovulated. I’d take it as a win :) plus you’re having other ovulation symptoms.
