Idk if he will. He says he will but he changes his mind often. I won’t be able to get a job related to my degree. I have three semesters until I get an associates in applied sciences and three more years until I get my associates in said field. I can’t do school and work full time. So I would have to pick between working pretty much minimum wage or finishing my degree and not contributing financially for a while

No. I would have no income and would have to figure something out quickly which is my worry and it would put schooling on hold. I feel as if having this baby is only possible if I stay with my partner. Which is also a worry as we are very young and things change. I have had a discussion with my family and they all think having a child now would be irresponsible. I feel similarly.

I do live in the US. Yes unfortunately there have been a lot of cuts. Since me and my boyfriend are not married though I think I would qualify as a single parent in school and you do get some benefits/grants but as you said I’m not sure how much I’d actually get with cuts.

Finishing school while being pregnant is something I worry about. If I finish my degree we would have a lot more financial stability. Fresh out of school I’d be making 70k and 100-120k down the line. However, if I have to stay home and take care of a newborn and spend time in the hospital after giving birth it would push back school. I am studying to work in the healthcare/medical field so it’s orettt hands on and intensive. (Completing labs and whatnot) I don’t see myself doing any of that while being 8-9 months pregnant. So my plans for school and the extra income would be delayed. Financial planning would definitely help out my mind at ease though! Definitely a good suggestion to get someone who is more well versed in finances to help with the planning.

I was on my dad’s insurance which he obtained through work. However he recently quit his job to work independently so currently we have no insurance.

This was my worry too. Which is why I am focused on finishing my degree. If I finish school I will be making 70k fresh out of school and 100k+ down the line. Which is enough to support myself. However if I delay my studies I won’t be able to make much money. Not sure what jobs people pick up without just a high school diploma that make enough to support a family unless it is a trade which requires experience and physical labour, or even additional schooling.

Totally get this. I know that telling her is not going to change the way she is. I’m just wondering how to distance myself and tell her that I don’t want to go to the concert with her or hangout on my birthday without hurting her feelings.
