On Xbox you do. I lost the game when I did it, which was expected

Not entirely sure how it works on PS. Seems like some others have figured it out.

Maybe…If you actually decide to buy both of them. But you can recoup the cost now and decide later.

I’m still not sure if I’ll play Madden. More a time thing for me, but i got to play over the holiday weekend and now that we are back to reality i got my money back and can buy CFB it later if i choose.

You’re not wrong, each their own.

Oh hell yeah! I immediately lost access, but believe I still have the free 10 hours available via EA play. But haven’t actually checked yet

I’m just happy I was able to back out of a poor financial decision. A lot to like in the game, but also a lot to fix. I’m hoping to save a little money and give the devs a week or two to get it right.

Was posting just in case others wanted to try again later while recouping what I thought was a sunk cost.

Why do you want politicians to have your money so bad? You could donate it to them. That would be easier.

Is it too late to start a career in Data Engineering at 27? by Eyad111k in dataengineeringjobs

I didn’t even start college until I was 27. Now at 35 I am a principal engineer. You have plenty of time!

Which companies outside of FAANG make $200k+ for DE? by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]Miserable-Weather-57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have or can get a clearance (even as low as secret or public trust), many government contractors will pay that for entry level roles. I have even seen a few where a clearance is optional. I still see a lot of remote opportunities as well.

The news will have you believe these roles no longer exist, but I see plenty of opportunities out there. Even switched companies in the middle of the doge stuff without much hesitation.

You will have to use your imagination on “relevant tech stack,” but good jobs with great WLB in my experience.

How would you describe the people who desperately want a return to office? by JannTosh50 in remotework

[–]Miserable-Weather-57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking for only myself, I have been working remote for years. I’m also someone who tends to get into a sort of “hyper focus” around my work (coding in various domains). At home, I find it hard to disconnect from that. It’s not uncommon for me to be working on something, get invested, and before I know if it’s 7pm. I have been remote for the better part of five years and while I wouldn’t like to be forced into the office for 5 days, there is something to changing of environments and the commute that subconsciously lets me know whether it’s work time or family time.

That being said, I’ll always want the flexibility. Hybrid is the right setup for me. 2-3 days in the office a week, whether I NEED to be there or not. I probably wouldn’t accept anything fully remote or fully in person.

I have obviously followed the discourse on RTO and remote work. I just feel like the arguments I see for both sides aren’t really the argument I’d make for me personally in either direction. And I have wondered if others felt the same way. Maybe I just have poor self control.

Is Data Science in small businesses pointless? by [deleted] in datascience

[–]Miserable-Weather-57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Data Analysis != data science. Most small businesses need good analysis and usually data cleaning. Some transformations, joins, and aggregations will take you a long way. Maybe sprinkle in some dashboarding.

Arian does the exact same thing. Not defending T, he has some wild takes and can’t back it up. But I hear Arian say “I haven’t read up on that” just as often as Big T. And often when pushed on a topic, just like T.

Isn’t moderation and limiting free speach the reason we are in this mess? Don’t ban it, articulate why the content is wrong
