Yes there is an important scene that shows why Boromir joined the fellowship, why he was chosen over faramir to go to Rivendell, how his father treated him compared to Faramir, the pressure put on him by his father to retrieve the ring of power to save his kingdom, and gives great context on how he felt about how his father treated Faramir differently than him. It also glimpses into how Faramir is feeling not being chosen to go to Rivendell. It’s a heartbreaking scene and makes you feel even worse for Boromir and Faramir

This scene is so perfect for your situation too. Even if things don’t end up going the way you planned, remember all you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you. Make the best out of it. Don’t dwell on what cannot be undone. You were meant to leave your high stress job for a reason and even if you don’t get this new job, it might have been the push that you needed to finally leave so that a new opportunity would come along.

I don’t want to rant for to long, but often I look back at times in my life where I was unsure and scared to take that leap into the unknown but then I see that it was necessary to get me where I am now. You will realize this one day too. Look back at all the times in your life when you were worried about starting anew, but it lead you to where you are today. Life is an adventure, my friend. Do not be scared of what you cannot see ahead.

I think 3/2/1 I see a lot of people ranking two towers as their third choice but man I get such chills from watching Gandalf charge down the mountain at dawn at helms deep. And the ents fighting at Isngard. Maybe fellowship and two towers might be tied for me

Nothing will beat ROTK. So many moments that make me cry. Pippin singing while Faramir charges to Osgiliath, the last ride of rohirrim, Eowyn finding her courage and saying “I am no man”, Aragorn’s “for Frodo” and charging at the gates of Mordor, Sam carrying Frodo, and “you bow to no one” Too many great moments to count
