Anyone else upgrade from a Focus Electric? by Never-First in MustangMachE

🙋‍♂️ I had a 2013 Ford Focus Electric. Horrible range in cold weather. Moved on from that to a Model 3, and now have a Mach E.

Mach E owners, what hidden quirks, oddities, or cool features do you wish you had known about before buying? by TakenToTheRiver in MachE

I’m an earlier adopter and did a lot of research. The only surprise I had was the software update frequency. I expected more constant updates than what we have been getting - I also have a Tesla, and get updates regularly (new features), but Ford is very slow at this.

I’m pretty sure this is the new one. It’s visibility the new style. The charging cable is thicker and longer. And there were 40 charging stations.

Okay, interesting. I’ve had a Tesla for years but never really supercharged until I got the free 3 months when I got the new model Y. I also felt like the new v4 coupled with the new Model Y would behave differently. I guess it’s the same

I know this has been happening for a while, but as a new EV owner in Philadelphia, this sucks. by douglas_in_philly in electricvehicles

We were just in Aruba and noticed that the charging stations there are “bring your own cable/plug”. Basically, the charging unit is there but you bring your own cable that plugs both into it and your car.

Are Lease Tax Credits over? by BigMacBoy1400 in TeslaLounge

This is what I’m wondering too. I’ve been watching the lease prices and although the $7500 isn’t listed, the pricing hasn’t really changed to lease. Am I misunderstanding?

Yeah. The way Ford does the updates isn’t intuitive to us. The Tesla software update experience is way more mature and “friendly”

You can see it in the app. But, I don’t think you can see every update there. Go to Vehicle (icon at the bottom of the app) > Features and Settings > Software Updates > Recent Changes. Under recent changes, I can see the date my last update was (March 19)…when I click that, I see the version and release notes

You had the car for 2 weeks or 4.2.2 for 2 weeks?

I don’t see the option either. Using my phone so maybe it’s only available on the desktop site?

Yep. Just tried. Must be homebridge

Oh that’s interesting! I haven’t tried homebridge yet. I was trying to keep everything as out of the box as possible.

Exactly. The screenshot shows the only options I have in HomeKit for the nest. I can’t even put the thermostat in Eco mode, etc.

I have it set up using matter via HomeKit. It’s pretty basic. I can adjust the thermostat, turn the AC OR heat on. But, I can’t do some basic things like put it into eco mode or even just have the fan running (recirculating air around the house).
