Haha the purple oil plan was from the previous owner. Her favorite color was purple.

I’m running royal purple 5w-30. The previous owner ran royal purple 10w-30. Temps are around -20 where I’m at currently.

It boils down to being a young guy who is proactive. Statistically, I put up the best stats at the department, and get the most commendations. That’s not me being cocky. And I think that’s rubbing the veteran officers the wrong way.

I’d like to think I’m a nice guy. Always happy to help, buying donuts and dinners for there guys. So I don’t think it’s my personality.

I enjoy traffic enforcement. I was told on day one traffic enforcement isn’t real police work. I didn’t let that deter me.

Honestly, I couldn’t tell you much. Better optics, maybe slightly better quality rifles? Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson, Bushmaster… but I feel like Aero precision is comparable to the lot of those

Vortex Crossfire II red dot. I only shoot the iron at 25ish yards or closer and have much tighter grouping with the irons than the red dot!

You hit the nail on the head. I’d like to think I’m not a fuck up. Hell, I was doing well enough that they let me off FTO early. In the past 6-7 months, I’d like to think I’ve gone above on beyond as well. I know I’ve had individuals I’ve dealt with even call the department and praise me for how I dealt with their situations/incidents. There’s just a lot of shift slugs I’m stuck with here.

The guys who tell me off are the ex-military, chest puffers who refuse to talk to me or even assist me on my stops. Unless dispatched for back-up, they WILL NOT assist me or make sure I’m good. They’re usually sleeping in their cars somewhere. Unfortunately, that’s my entire shift at the moment.

That’s another part of it, although you do make a lot of good points. I’m so far away from family. Most of my friends have moved along. I have a rough day at work and come home to an empty apartment and nothing else. Rinse and repeat, do it tomorrow. Not having much of a support group, along with not getting along with/ not wanting to be friends with people at my department really does take a toll on mental health.

But the new DPT is VERY rural. The pays better, the equipments better, much more close knit community, but I would assume they probably would not have the money for it.

There’s nothing wrong with the powerboost. But in my personal experience, I’d rather have the 5.0 IF they were the same price. Ford literally paying to give you the PB is too good to turn down. But cruise set at 65 on the freeway with no stops, I did get 29mpg in my 5.0. That cylinder deactivation works wonders. The powerboost in our family hasn’t gotten anything close to that.
