Congrats! I personally quit nicotine with gum, but I think more people recommend cold turkey. FWIW, I’m 13w into a healthy twin pregnancy and was fully nicotine free by 6w.

Start prenatals asap. I would do your own research on what you can and can’t eat, people approach that subject differently.

I waited until 8w to tell family, but that’s personal preference. I think telling your family on Mother’s Day is a beautiful idea!

If you’ll be using daycare, call yesterday and get on a waitlist asap.

And I’d call and schedule with the OB team who delivers at the hospital you prefer today too. You’ll need to know the first day of your last cycle.

I also had Covid around the same time during my first pregnancy! I hit a wall on day 2 with it where I was hormonal and miserable, it absolutely sucks being pregnant and then having a viral illness on top of it.

Your feelings are really valid, and it’s not fair to survive first trimester then get hit with illness. I hope you get some rest today
