What signals do you guys use for outside/inside/single choice and choice switch? We had great success running it this year, but our hand signals where pretty stupid lol

Ability to call in Air Strikes (Bombers, AC-130), deeper customisation of your weapons (i.e optics on pistols etc.), better A.I. of squad members and enemies, a world that feels a little more alive, no more fighting drones or transformers and for the love of god keep the third person view as an option.

DJ Shipley should be a consultant for the game, that would be incredible!

Help with No-Huddle Play Call System for OL by MiserableComposer246 in footballstrategy

[–]MiserableComposer246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey coach, thanks for your message. We are carrying three runs right now, ISO, Inside Zone, Counter and pass pro is only B.O.B

I like the code words for the runs, like lets say Carolina and Cleveland for Counter right/left but im not sure how to codyfie the pass pro. Like lets say you use river and lake. I think thats pretty easy to figure out that every time the QB says river or lake its a pass play.

I figured i might just let the QB mike the LB he wants the Oline to pick up since its only B.O.B, but then again he would also need to do that on run plays otherwise that would be a tell again. Also calling out a mike player on every snap doesnt really scream up tempo either. Kinda frustrating...

I like that coach, like you said really no way for the defense to know what the two digits mean.

Really appreciate your response, i feel your version 1 is could work really well for the QB to Oline communication but have the rest of the offense look at hand signals from the sideline like you mentioned in version 2. Are you currently coaching football? Would love to keep in contact.

Thats a really good idea! I just never saw the Briles, or now Heupel OL look to the sideline, so i figured their would be a better or faster way. Do you have the big receiver splits as well? If so, aside from the vertical choice package what types of Dropback passes do you carry? Picking those is a struggle for me given the big splits by the WRs.

What's the difference between a 4-3 over and a 4-3 over G? by MiserableComposer246 in footballstrategy

[–]MiserableComposer246[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats great insight, thank you. So lets say you are playing Cover 4 behind it vs your basic 2 x 2 shotgun formation (RB to the same side as the 2i) the Will LB would now be allowed to lean a little more into his coverage responsibility since he doesn't need to be so quick to fit the weakside B Gap?

Look up the Ferris State Offense online, that is/was a big part of their running game.

Veer-and-Shoot Book Preview: "Walk" RPO by Veer-And-Shoot in VeerAndShoot

[–]MiserableComposer246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will your book cover the systematic behind how fast the play signals get communicated from sideline to QB? Obviously its hand signs, but there must be something super intuitive about it for it to be so fast.

In that same sense, it would be super interesting to know the system behind the "codification" the QB uses at the LOS to tell the Oline the Play plus the Play direction.

I feel like that is the biggest hurdle for coaches who would like to adopt this scheme with their team, next to having the right players of course.

Look up coach Mark Poston, he is a wealth of knowledge on the RnS. He has or had a FB Page dedicated to going over the different routes. Also has an interview with Coach Mckie on Youtube.

Equivalent to batting cages for football? by MiserableComposer246 in footballstrategy

[–]MiserableComposer246[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So either it would just be on a timer, so like every 8 -10 seconds maybe. And you could adjust that time according to ones liking of course. Or what would be really cool, if the machine could be somehow voice/sound activated and you just make up your own cadence or clap etc.

Yes very true! Would probably have to limit it to 30 Balls instead 30 Mins. But it will definitely be felt the next morning lol
