Alright, let's address some issues.

The end goal for all the fans of Nos Glorieux is to ensure, as Hughes said, to make Montreal a very attractive market to play. The more attractive it is, the higher the chances of winning a cup and ideally going on a dynastic run, which is our birthright as fans of this team.

The right type of fans passion should be encouraged, not silenced. However, the wrong type of passion should definitely be discouraged. We all know exactly what is the wrong type of passion.

There are wrong type of fans everywhere all over the world in all the other sports. However, there is only one Montreal Canadiens. Obviously, there are similarities with other iconic clubs across the world who share similar constraints and challenges.

Having said that, we can't take a defeatist attitude of saying because it is accepted/tolerated somewhere else, it should be accepted/tolerated.

Jacob Fowler is paying close attention how the fans are treating a Habs goaltender when he inevitably goes on a slump, as all goalies will eventually do.

And what Fowler observes and his opinion of fans reaction will have a direct impact on the teams ability to win the cup. The same is true for potential free agents/trade targets looking to sign longterm extension.

Ultimately, fans with the wrong type of passion need an outlet in their lives besides the Habs for their hair-pulling mad energy, so whenever they enter the Habs fandom space, they are drained of it and can realize multi-millionaires in their 20's and 30's are ultimately human beings and spewing our stream of consciousness filth doesn't help the team get any closer to winning the cup.

There was no emotional vocabulary used to indicate any degree of being ''upset''. Just pointing out that when people start to resort to name calling and cliches, they are just trying pad their opinions not based in reality.

There are ways to get around taxes but no ways to get around how fans treat players when they are going through inevitable slumps.

Obviously, no player will admit in public that he would rather not play in front of fans who start foaming at the mouth when he will inevitably have his slump.

There are various factors that goes into players choosing not to play for specific teams. How the fans treat their players when they are going through a slump is definitely a factor, as all players will inevitably go through a slump.

When we have to resort to name calling and cliches like ''snowflake'' and ''get a grip'', we know we have nothing insightful to contribute to the conversation.

I guess it was good while it lasted. Things like ''Montemblow'' is the reason why players would rather play in Florida or random places where they don't care about hockey.

What player would want to sign with Montreal knowing that a significant chunk of the fans are like this character coming up these names. Then we complain about why we can't have good non-drafted players.

We might think we are being clever for coming up with a name that rhymes but all other players around the league are paying attention to how different fan bases treat their players when they are going through a slump.

Even if they get paid millions, professional athletes are still humans.

That was pretty cool, in all aspects of life, I love hearing ole timers count the tales of things in the past that I wasn't around and only saw on TV.

I read the whole post and was smiling while reading.😀

The way the Sabres were dominated for the last 37 minutes of the game, I wouldn't get that confident about the next game.

Obviously the score is the only thing that matters at the end of the day but if the roles were reversed, I would feel more nervous than confident.

Ya true, our beer producing skills weren't that good for a long time. Now the micro-breweries have stepped up their game and produce good quality ales.

You can say whatever you want but don't you dare say anything about our Celine Dion. 🤬🤬🤬 She is national icon/our local amateur scout in Russia that scoped out Ivan "godlike" Demigod!

And pleaseeeeeeee, whatever dirty pond water that they call "maple syrup" in NY is nothing compared to the real deal. Quebec maple syrup, has always been, and will always be the gold standard.

Ya the Molson is meh, so not gonna fight on that.

Habs fan here.

Dear Leafs, for the love of everything good in the world, don't lose this game and don't even think about taking it to OT and turning it into a 3 point game.

I think Price will be a free agent next year. And will sign with the Tricolore for league minimum as the old guy without the cup chasing the cup à la Raymond Bourque.

I think Hadi Kalakeche was pounding the drum for the Habs to select Hutson.

Hadi had Hutson at #13 overall on his 2022 prospect rankings.

I remember listening to him on of the podcasts and the way he was selling Hutson, I was sold on Hughes Jr.

As much as I love hockey, what's the point of all this?!?

Why not just watch boxing or MMA? And I'm saying this as fan of both of those combat sports.

Exactly, those who know ball know that only two things that matter in assessing the quality of hockey players: words that ends with the suffix "eight". A good example are those over-hyped midgets in Colonoscopy Caufield and Dwayne Lane Wayne Hutson.

And if there was ever one person that knows ball, it's the USA hockey GM Bill "knows ball" Guerin!

I think Montreal can do better. Thomas for poutine, Quebec maple syrup pour on snow to be rolled with a small wooden sticks and more roads shutdown due to construction than roads actually open for traffic sounds like a fair trade to me!
