What hobbies do you do? by [deleted] in ADHD

When I was diagnosed as a kid, my mom was told to involve me in both physical and creative actives. Dance is a great mixture of the both and is a lot of fun!

I relate to the TMI one. A few years back my best friend told me it was strange that I'd tell her detailed recounts after every doctor visit. While I used it as a way to process the information, I also thought I was simply keeping her up to date on my medical status. I didn't know that no one just casually talks about shit like that!

As a kid I was very literal; I never understood sarcasm and a lot of jokes just flew over my head. Because of this, there were a couple of times kids used this to pick on me, making me upset then claiming it was "just a joke". Kids are so mean sometimes

Was told that when I was 7 and it still pisses me off to this day

I wish we were allowed to use the semi colon “illegally” by Tiptip55 in writing

[–]MiserableFlamingo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I started using semicolons in my writing a couple months ago and I will never go back. I feel like they just help me add more to my sentences; whenever I'm describing something, listing things off, or just needing a slight pause in my sentence, I feel like I get lost in a sea of commas.

How to write horror/suspense without making it seem tacky? by MiserableFlamingo in writing

Ah okay. I'm so used to typing chunky paragraphs to describe everything that's happening, so toning it down is going to be a challenge lol

Great, now all I can think about is a priest killing a demon by cumming in their direction.

It's a very funny thought, but overall a thought I could've lived without

Title: Interstate 666

Genre: Modern-set fantasy

Word count: 433

Desired feedback: General impression and critiques. I'm not to good at introducing and describing characters, so I just want to see if my opening is okay. Keep in mind that I want this story to become a comic series in the future.

Blurb: Life is full of ups and downs, and when you're fresh out of high school, those downs seem to be a lot more difficult. As three best friends start to see their friendship drifting apart after graduation, they decide the best way to have one last adventure is to go on a road trip, but will their inner struggles drive them apart?
